A Dreamy Retreat in the Heart of the Forest
Welcome to my blog! Today I want to share with you the story of a special retreat that we built with my family deep in the forest.
It all started with a regular vacation on the beautiful Estonian coast. Walking along the edge of a pine forest, we stumbled upon a hidden gem - an old and slightly dilapidated cottage. Although the house itself still needed work, its surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful. The forest floor was covered in a carpet of blueberries, and the air was filled with the quiet whisper of pine trees.
We immediately felt that this place needed a cozy retreat where we could enjoy the beauty and peace of nature. Using old lumber from a shed and boards removed from the walls of the house, we built a cozy outdoor kitchen. For the roof,we added a transparent material so that the rays of light could freely enter. We painted the entire retreat white to create a spacious and airy atmosphere.
From a thrift store, we found lovely curtains and kitchen utensils that added warmth and personality to the atmosphere. We sewed the pillows ourselves from old clothes, giving them new life and adding a unique character to the interior.
Now this retreat is our family's favorite place, where we spend time eating, playing and enjoying the peace of the forest. It is a place where we can forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and feel connected to nature.
If you also have a dream retreat in your heart, I encourage you to take action! Use your creativity and recycling to create a wonderful oasis for yourself where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature.
