Hello friends, I hope you are all well, on this occasion I want to share with you my simple but very significant artistic work, which comes from a very personal reflection about many things, and among them the situation in Venezuela. My country is going through dark times in which many citizens have chosen to ignore reality and lock themselves in a bubble where things happen differently, while other citizens have had the courage to fight for what they consider to be freedom. From this, many things could be said, such as, for example, that political freedom is just an illusion when there are more things that enslave us. Even if it could be true, I believe that that kind of freedom is important to go in search of your own destiny. I have painted this landscape, which for me is everyday, part of my life, most of the years of my life have been spent in that place, so each sunset for me is special, however I have added one more actor in this painting to illustrate my desire despite the circumstances, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes un trabajo artístico sencillo pero muy significativo, el cual procede de una reflexión muy personal acerca de muchas cosas, y entre esas la situación de Venezuela. Mi país atraviesa momentos oscuros en los cuales muchos ciudadanos han optado por ignorar la realidad y encerrarse en una burbuja donde las cosas suceden diferentes, mientras otros ciudadanos han tenido el valor de luchar por lo que consideran es la libertad. De esto, muchas cosas podrían decirse, como por ejemplo, que la libertad política es solo una ilusión cuando existen más cosas que nos esclavizan, aunque pudiera ser cierto, creo que esa clase de libertad es importante para ir en búsqueda de su propio destino. He pintado este paisaje, el cual para mi es cotidiano, parte de mi vida, la mayor parte de los años de mi vida los he pasado en ese lugar, por lo que cada atardecer para mi es especial, sin embargo he agregado un actor más en este cuadro para ilustrar mi deseo a pesar de las circunstancias, espero que les guste.

For this painting I used a piece of wood as a canvas that measures 35 centimeters long by 17 centimeters wide, I cleaned and polished the wood using sandpaper and to cure the wood to then paint better, I used cold white paint, I put 3 coats on it so the acrylic paint adheres better.
Para esta pintura utilicé como lienzo un trozo de madera que mide 35 centímetros de largo por 17 centímetros de ancho, a la madera la limpié y la pulí utilizando papel de lija y para curar la madera para luego pintar mejor, utilicé pintura blanca al frío, le puse 3 capas para que la pintura acrílica se adhiera mejor.

After the white paint dried very well, I began to paint with the acrylic paint, I started first with the sky, painted with various shades of blue mixed with white, where the upper part was darker and more intense and as the wood becomes a little lighter. To paint the sky I used a flat brush.
Después de que la pintura blanca secó muy bien, comencé a pintar con la pintura acrílica, comencé primero con el cielo, pintado con varios tonos de color azul mezclado con blanco, donde la parte superior era más oscuro e intenso y a medida que va bajando la madera se va aclarando un poco más. Para pintar el cielo utilicé un pincel plano.

Then I continued painting what would be the end of the horizon, it is the point where the sun begins to set and the already weakened rays of the sun illuminate the clouds, offering us a range of colors. Here I use orange tones mixed with yellow, and in the furthest parts I also use lilac colors, as well as some light clouds.
Luego seguí pintando lo que sería el extremo del horizonte, es epunto donde el sol comienza a ocultarse y los rayos del sol ya debilitados iluminan las nubes ofreciéndonos una gama de colores. Aquí utilizo tonos naranja mezclado con amarillo, y en las partes más alejadas también utilizo colores lila, así también algunas nubes claras.

Then I paint the vegetation, the train tracks pass through there and it is a place that I can always visit, very useful to think and reflect on so many things, from here I have contemplated the most beautiful sunsets throughout my entire life.
Después pinto la vegetación, por ahí pasan los rieles del tren y es un lugar que siempre puedo recorrer, muy útil para pensar y reflexionar acerca de tantas cosas, desde aquí he contemplado los atardeceres más hermosos a lo largo de toda mi vida.

Then I started to draw a fence, I thought before leaving the painting with only the landscape, but then I thought that I could add something, so it occurred to me to make them, but if you look closely, I did not make the complete wire fence but rather cut it, it is a symbol that I consider very significant and that is why I gave it the name "Without Limits", because if the fence were complete covering the landscape it would be a "restricted area".
Luego comencé a dibujar una reja, pensaba antes dejar el cuadro con el paisaje solamente, pero luego pensé que podría agregar algo, así que se me ocurrió hacerlas, pero si observan bien, no hice la reja de alambre completa sino que esta cortada, es un símbolo que considero muy significativo y por eso le dado por nombre "Sin Límites", porque si la reja estuviera completa cubriendo el paisaje sería un "area restringida".
The philosopher Bertrand Russell once said that the man who lives without a little philosophy is a prisoner of prejudice, and I very much agree with that phrase, I believe that the worst slavery is not daring to think for oneself, question and go. beyond. The world is made up of ideologies, power groups that try to dominate and impose their dogmas, that is why we must break the barriers and contemplate what most satisfies our heart. This is the feeling of my art that is expressed through the following painting, I hope you liked it and enjoyed this little journey, see you soon!
El filósofo Bertrand Russell dijo alguna vez que el hombre que vive sin un poco de filosofía es un prisionero de los prejuicios, y estoy muy de acuerdo con esa frase, creo que la peor esclavitud es no atreverse a pensar por sí mismo, cuestionar e ir más allá. El mundo esta compuesto de ideologías, grupos de poder que intentan dominar e imponer sus dogmas, por eso hay que romper las barreras y contemplar aquello que más satisfaga nuestro corazon.
