Las artesanías y mucho más me encanta poder darle valor a las hermosas creaciones que hacen nuestros indígenas con sus propias manos, para mí siempre lo hecho a mano tendrá un gran valor extra y mientras pueda brindarle mi apoyo a nuestros indígenas lo haré para que así ellos puedan seguir creando casas maravillosas. Hace un para de días cuando pasaba por una de las principales avenida de la ciudad, ví a un señor que estaba vendiendo sombreros hecho con la palma de moriche que es un árbol emblemático aquí en el estado MONAGAS, así que me acerque y le compré uno de los sombreros.

The crafts and much more I love to give value to the beautiful creations that our indigenous people make with their own hands, for me always the handmade will have a great extra value and while I can give my support to our indigenous people I will do it so they can continue to create wonderful homes. A couple of days ago when I was passing by one of the main avenues of the city, I saw a man who was selling hats made with the moriche palm which is an emblematic tree here in the state of MONAGAS, so I approached him and bought one of the hats.
Estos sombreros son muy útiles, son resistentes al sol y al agua, y ahora que ya vienen las vacaciones tengo pensado ir a la playa así que esté sombrero será un gran aliado para protegerme del sol y no solo lo usaré en la playa también lo usaré cuando esté acomodando mis plantas para protegerme del sol. Así que le voy a dar un toque personal para embellecer aún más está obra de arte, y solo voy necesitar un para de cosas que probablemente tengamos en nuestra casa.

Los materiales que usaré serán sesgo grueso dolor negro, también podemos usar tela del color que queramos, Hilo de coser del color de la tela o Sesgo, aguja, cordón que usaremoa para decorar y también para sujetar el sombrero a la cabeza, y si estamos en un lugar con mucha brisa no se vuele, y una tranca para sostener el cordón.

- Empezaremos por tomar el Sesgo y lo vamos a ir colocando por todo el borde del sombrero, procurando cubrir tanto la parte de arriba como la de abajo, coserlo directamente es algo difícil, así que vamos a bastear el Sesgo al sombrero con hilo y agujas, también podemos sujetarlo con alfileres.

- Cuando hayamos dado torá la vuelta al borde del sombrero y estemos llegando a la punta dónde iniciamos, vamos a doblar hacia adentro la punta del Sesgo y lo vamos a sobreponer al Sesgo del inicio y sujetamos.

- Teniendo todo el Sesgo o la tela en el lugar que queremos, comenzaremos a coser con una puntada que sea resistente, yo uso la puntada punto atrás, así que coso por toda la orilla del Sesgo. Luego retiro el hilo que use para sostener el Sesgo,para que solo se note una sola costura.

- Colocaremos en la parte de arriba un cordón, le daremos una vuelta que me gusta como decoración y luego una media vuelta que quede más o menos a la altura donde estarían las orejas, por allí abriremos un poco el tejido del sombrero y pasaremos la punta del cordón y haremos lo mismo del otro lado.

- Tomamos la tranca, yo use una que si la apretamos se puede deslizar y cuando la soltamos se tranca, (no se cuáles su nombre) por allí metemos las dos puntas del cordón y al final de cada punta le haremos un nudo para que no se salga.

Y así nos quedará nuestra sombrero, quede muy contenta con el resultado ya quiero estrenarlo, también me gustaría como colocarle una etiqueta o algo en la parte del frente, pero aún no se que puede ser.
