Hello to all the members of the great community of @hivediy and all those who make life on the platform, welcome to my blog.
Today I am very excited to show you a work that I have been wanting to do for a while for our living room; we have had for a long time, an organizer which has been very useful for us all this time, but because of the rainwater that has been pouring in several times, without realizing it, the bottom part was damaged...which led us to think about restoring it so we wouldn't lose it.
Primero
We remove the doors of the organizer, with the help of a slotted screwdriver.
Luego
We began to take measurements to cut the necessary wood with the help of the jigsaw to do our work and discard the parts that were damaged by water and that we will have a smaller organizer and thus give dual use.
This was the first result I got from the restoration of the organizer.
Ahora
We started with our second project, making a floating TV shelf; which is very fashionable as it is a minimalist concept.
Let's start by taking the measurements and counting our shelf; the measurements we used were:
- Para la repisa flotante, que en este caso será la base del televisor debido a que no hemos comprado aún la base que va colgada a la pared; son:
1.15 cm de largo
27 cm de ancho
Y el alto de los orificios es de 17 cm x 3 medidas diferentes 32, 40 y 43 cm respectivamente, tal cuál como les mostraré en el boceto que realicé.
- For the floating shelf, which in this case will be the base of the TV because we have not yet purchased the base that goes hanging on the wall; are:
1.15 cm long
27 cm wide
And the height of the holes is 17 cm x 3 different measures 32, 40 and 43 cm respectively, as I will show you in the sketch I made.
- and for the individual shelves, it consists of 1 base of 80 cm high x 16 cm wide.
And 3 pieces that will function as shelves of 27 cm long x 15 cm wide.
Toda la madera tiene 2cm de espesor.
All wood is 2 cm thick.
The first thing I did was my own hand sketch with the measurements I considered, taking into consideration the TV I wanted to place there, which I will also tell you about soon, it is my new acquisition.
Now we begin to take the measurements and cut with the help of the jigsaw what will be the shelves.
After making all the cuts and assembling the pieces as a puzzle; this was the result I got, 3 pieces that need to be fine tuned by sanding and painting.
Once we had already sanded, we now painted the edges in white since we did not use formica to save costs.
And that's how beautiful and elegant our floating shelf turned out.
This was the floating shelf that I saw on the internet and I said: I have to do it and I can do it; from which I put my hands to work; which corresponds to my second project with the same wood from the restoration of the initial counter.
So far my publication, thanks for visiting...see you in the next opportunity where I can show you another project made with my own hands.
