Les cuento que a mi nieto le mandaron una tarea de robótica, Cuando la tarea corresponde a las manualidades, pues, me toca a mí ayudarlo. Esta vez quise delegar la responsabilidad al abuelo y pensamos en un robot que al niño le gusta; necesitamos para eso: varias baterías y otras cosas que nos faltaban pero finalmente pensando en el gasto me decidí por una mano robótica de cartón que vio la otra abuela en un video.

This time I wanted to delegate the responsibility to the grandfather and we thought of a robot that the child likes; we need for that: several batteries and other things that we lacked but finally thinking about the expense I decided on a cardboard robotic hand that the other grandmother saw in a video.
Esta tarea es para mañana martes, por lo que teníamos que trabajar el fin de semana. El material para el robot no estaba completo y para la mano tenía todo el material, por eso hice cambio de plan y se lo dije a mi nieto, estuvo conforme. Entonces, nos dispusimos a sacar el cartón de debajo de un colchón y el resto del material ya lo tenía en la mesa, así que pusimos manos a la obra. Hicimos el trabajo en dos días y eso porque mi nieto tenía que bajar a su casa.

The material for the robot was not complete and for the hand I had all the material, so I changed the plan and told my grandson, he agreed. So, we got ready to take the cardboard out from under a mattress and the rest of the material was already on the table, so we got down to work. We did the job in two days because my grandson had to go home.
Mano robótica de cartón
Materiales: Cartón, 1 barra de silicón, pistola de silicón, tijera, cúter, lápiz, cartulina, regla, 2 pitillos rectos y 1 plegable, 120 cms de rabo de ratón color verde y goma de borrar.
Cardboard robotic hand
Materials: cardboard, 1 silicone stick, silicone gun, scissors, cutter, pencil, cardboard, ruler, 2 straight and 1 folding straws, 120 cms of green mouse tail and eraser.
Elaboración:
1- Hacer el dibujo de la figura de la mano en la cartulina. Trazar las líneas rectas en la figura y recortar todo el contorno.

2- Calcar la imagen en el cartón. Cortar la figura y separar los dedos con el cúter.

3- Doblar cada 3,5 cms; apoyando la regla en tres partes por cada dedo. Excepto en el dedo pulgar, ahí son dos.

4- Cortar una tira de cartón para pegarla de soporte.

5- Cortar un pitillo en 14 partes de 1,5 cms y el otro en cuatro partes de 3 cms. Pegar con el silicón caliente y pintar la mano de color verde.

6- Perforar cerca del dedo pulgar con un cautín o cualquier otra herramienta que permita abrir un hueco del ancho de un pitillo.

7- Cortar el rabo de ratón en 5 partes de 24 cms para insertar por los tubitos pegados; haciendo un nudo corredizo para colocar los dedos del niño. Pegar con silicón en el inicio del primer pitillo de cada dedo. Aquí se trabaja 4 dedos, menos el pulgar.
7- Cut the mouse tail in 5 parts of 24 cms to insert through the glued tubes; making a sliding knot to place the child's fingers. Glue with silicone at the beginning of the first straw of each finger. Here we work with 4 fingers, except the thumb.
8- Cortar una tira de 15 x 7 cms para pegar perpendicularmente en la parte del brazo, unida por un pedazo de elástica de 12 cms. Pegar un pedazo del pitillo plegable en la base. Por último, pasamos el cordón por los pitillos del dedo pulgar, luego por el orificio hecho en el cartón y después por el dorso de la mano para pasar por el pitillo plegable haciendo el nudo corredizo.
8- Cut a 15 x 7 cm strip to glue perpendicularly on the arm part, joined by a 12 cm piece of elastic. Glue a piece of the folding straw at the base. Finally, we pass the cord through the straws of the thumb, then through the hole made in the cardboard and then through the back of the hand to pass through the folding straw making the slip knot.
Si vieron el video, cambié algunos aspectos como pintar de verde para que simule la mano de Hulk, colocar silicón en los nudos principales, agregar otra capa de cartón a la parte del brazo para darle soporte y el hilo que usé es rabo de ratón. La mano es verde porque es la mano de Hulk en el juego de Minecraft. Este trabajo lo quise documentar con fotos de mi nieto trabajando en el proyecto. En lo que respecta a mí, corregí detalles, manejé el silicón caliente, usé el cúter para cortar el cartón y tomé medidas.
If you saw the video, I changed some aspects like painting it green to simulate the Hulk's hand, putting silicone on the main knots, adding another layer of cardboard to the arm part to give it support and the thread I used is mouse tail. The hand is green because it is the Hulk's hand in the Minecraft game. I wanted to document this work with photos of my grandson working on the project. As for me, I corrected details, handled the hot silicone, used the cutter to cut the cardboard and took measurements.
Listo el trabajo, mi nieto quedó satisfecho y quería agarrarlo para jugar. Le dije que podía usarlo para suavizar un poco el movimiento. Mañana tiene que exponer su proyecto, espero que salga bien. Debemos aprovechar de pasar tiempo de calidad con nuestros nietos porque es el mejor legado.
Job done, my grandson was satisfied and wanted to grab it to play with. I told him he could use it to soften the movement a bit. Tomorrow he has to present his project, I hope it goes well. We should take advantage of spending quality time with our grandchildren because it is the best legacy.
