Mushroom Tire Seat made at P.S Church Center
How to make Mushroom Tire Seats | Tire Upcycling to Seats
I, Mr. Green call them “Mushroom Tire Seats” because they appear as if they are growing from the ground and have a round mushroom cap. Mushroom Tire Seats are one of my tire innovations.
Making a Mushroom Tire Seat is Simple and very cheap.
All you need are;

- Soil
- Sand
- Cement
- Paint
- Digging tools
Follow this simple procedure to make your Mushroom Tire Seat
1. Select tires of the same or similar sizes.

2. Dig a 15cm hole into the ground that has the same size as the tire.
3. Put the first tire into the hole and fill it with soil.
4. Put the second tire on top of the first tire and continue to fill it with soil. When you effectively fill the second tire with soil, it will create a “soil hook” that will make it difficult to be displaced from the first tire. You can add the third or fourth tire depending on the height of the seat you want to make and fill it with soil.
5. Once your tire seat height is attained, mix the cement with sand and seal the top seat by creating a gently sloping mushroom cap so that if it rains, the water can run off the tire seat.
6. Paint your mushroom tire seat and leave it to dry for one day.
7. Enjoy your seat.
Benefits of Mushroom Tire Seats
- They are cheap to make because Tires and Soil are free. It only requires very little quantity of cement and sand to cap the seat and if you wish to color the seat, you can also get some paint to make it colorful.
- They are more durable than any other kind of seat that is exposed to the sunlight or rain. They will last forever under very extreme weather conditions.
- Making Mushroom Tire Seats is fun, muscle-building, and creative.
- Mushroom Tire Seats are beautiful and can be used to write inspiring messages wherever they are built
- Making Mushroom Tire Seats is an eco-friendly way to deal with used tires that were initially destined for the landfill or to be burned. It’s a smart way to transform trash into treasure.
