🇪🇸 ~ Espero todos estén pasando una feliz noche y un lindo fin de semana, yo apenas revivo despues de muchos días seguidos enferma, he perdido al menos 4 kilos y tengo mucho sueño la mayor parte del día 😪 ¡septiembre ha sido un mes fuerte!.

Antes de enfermarme, estaba muy emocionada con una lista organizada de los proyectos de costura incluido los materiales ya comprados y organizados, pero ay, no alcance a hacer nada y eso me tenía muy triste... en los ratos que estuve despierta me dediqué a ver tutoriales de costura que deje en la lista de "ver para después" de Youtube.

Encuentro muy placentero y reconfortante ver a otros trabajar en bonitos proyectos y sobre todo ver cómo los construyen, mientras más limpio y detallado mejor porque son procesos más fáciles de memorizar para mi.

🇺🇸 ~ I hope everyone is having a happy evening and a nice weekend, I am just coming back to life after many days of being sick, I have lost at least 4 kg and I am very sleepy most of the day 😪 September has been a strong month!.

Before I got sick, I was very excited with an organized list of sewing projects including materials already bought and organized, but alas, I didn't get to do anything and that had me very sad... in the times I was awake I spent watching sewing tutorials that I left in the “watch for later” list on Youtube.

I find it very pleasurable and reassuring to watch others work on beautiful projects and especially to see how they construct them, the cleaner and more detailed the better because they are easier processes to memorize for me.

✦ I declare myself addicted to mini tote bag tutorials! They are my new obsession ✦

✦ These are the styles that I like the most, simplified, useful, combinable with everything ✦

✦ There are also interesting variants from which to extract ideas and inspiration, not all the designs I see I think of replicating them, from many I only find one or two things that I like to combine with other preferences ✦

Hoy me siento mas estable físicamente y emocionalmente mucho más animada, lo suficiente para sentarme a coser un poco, por eso pude terminar uno de los proyectos de mi lista que más me hacía ilusión.

Esta moda de "mini bolsos tote cuadrados" aún no ha llegado a mi ciudad y enserio quería uno para mi; el resultado fue tan bueno que cuando se lo mostré a unas amigas vecinas me han encargado 2 💞 así que estaré haciendo algunas unidades más para la venta la próxima semana.

Today I feel more physically stable and emotionally much livelier, enough to sit down and sew a little, so I was able to finish one of the projects on my list that I was most looking forward to.

This trend of "mini square tote bags” hasn't arrived in my city yet and I really wanted one for myself; the result was so good that when I showed it to some neighbor friends they ordered 2 💞 so I'll be making some more units for sale next week.

✦ I have also been following leather goods channels to learn how the “real bags” are made ✦

✦ It turns out that the bags contain inside a material similar to foam and thick cardboard, I always thought that they had a kind of plastic or that the leather by itself made them so resistant ✦

✦ But no! They literally contain a material similar to eva foam, I wanted to replicate that with some school foan that I had saved and did not know what to do with it because its colors are very ugly hahaha ~ ✦

✦ The denym fabric I used is recycled material, from a jean that a neighbor cut out to make a pair of shorts for her daughter (I love recycling denym fabric) ✦

✦ The measurements I have used are totally improvised, I did not follow any pattern with prefabricated indications, I worked according to the measurements of the material I had available ✦

✦ In this part I unnecessarily complicated my life, first I had to sew the center of the handles before installing them in the bag omg ✦

✦ But no matter, it's my first time making this kind of handbag design so try to enjoy the process and be less self-critical ✦

✦ Also the light this afternoon was very nice and cozy ✦

✦ An afternoon of quiet sewing and self-indulgence is all I needed after so many days in bed ✦

✦ I AM AMAZED THAT IT LOOKED SO NICE ✦

✦ INSTALLING FOAM INSIDE IS A GREAT IDEA, YOU MUST TRY IT! ✦

✦ Although the outside is very nice, the inside is very ugly, my God that lining is HORRENDOUS ✦

En este punto, pasé de la felicidad a la indignación muy rápido porque aunque este proyecto es para mi y sin ánimos de ser perfeccionista, el interior quedó bastante feo y desinstalarlo no era posible sin dañar todo el material del interior.

At this point, I went from happiness to indignation very quickly because although this project is for me and without wanting to be a perfectionist, the interior was quite ugly and uninstalling it was not possible without damaging all the interior material.

¡Cambio de planes!, en lugar de un forro liso o con bolsillos básicos, escogí transformar este bolso en un hibrido:

Change of plans!, instead of a plain lining or basic pockets, I chose to transform this bag into a hybrid:

✦ I found a spectacular piece of satin fabric di fidanzzata and replicated the original pattern of the bag ✦

✦ NO ONE CAN STOP ME, IT'S GOING TO BE FINE ✦

✦ [ sews in blind faith mode that it will turn out well and that he can fix it ] ✦

✦ In the end I made a simple strap by joining strips of denim fabric that I had left and ran silk ribbon through the ducts of the lining-second bag, the color of the ribbon is very lovely, a mix of light blue and gray ✦

Este proyecto es la definición del "no era lo que tenía en mente pero quedó mejor de lo que había planificado".

This project is the definition of “not what I had in mind but it turned out better than I had planned”.

✦ Although the original concept was to make the design as smooth and simple as possible, this addition makes it more secure, I'm really happy ✦

✦ The only thing I would add to improve it is to change the zig-zag that I used to finish the lining fabric, for a thick bias binding or a simple hem, that would make it have a better finish ✦

_{✦ Basically this is me every time I say I'm going to relax and not worry about the little mistakes xD I go crazy trying to fix it ✦}

Este tipo de mini bag me tiene absolutamente enamorada y estare elaborando algunos más, explorando sobre todo la versatilidad de este diseño (puntos a favor, ¡se elabora bastante rápido!).

I felt terrible for a few days, I'm recovering now, I was able to sew this afternoon and had some crack funny moments minding myself about relaxing, but with excellent results 😂 👍
