Hello needleworkers of Hive Community! How are you all? It's been awhile since my last post here so here I am again. You know, I will be attending a wedding ceremony this coming Thursday wherein I am one of the sponsors. I ordered a beautiful outfit for the said occasion but the color I have chosen was maroon which was not in the selected shades. My bad! Anyways, I opted to use my outfit during my daughter's wedding 4 yrs ago since I no longer have enough time to travel to do my shopping. It's not bad at all because I've only used it once. Then I looked for my clutch bag to match with my semiformal dress.
Since it has been stored for a long time and haven't been used, I found out that the glitters outside were peeled off though the inside is still in good order. I've thought of making use of another clutch bag which is the reverse of the other. The outer cover is still in good condition but the inner side was already peeled off. These are the results when our bags haven't been often used unless they're fit for ordinary days or else you will be out of place!
I removed the outer covering of my other clutch bag. It's made of women flat thin metals with synthetic stones. Such a waste if you just throw it away! I've long set it aside having in mind that I will make a beautiful elegant pouch out of it. It was timely that I was looking for some glittery materials to cover my clutch.
See that, they're like woven thin steel plates! I started cutting it to form the top cover by pasting it super glue for stability before sewing it using fish twine.
I unwind the 3 ply nylon thread and used the single ply only to hide the stitches.
After stitching and putting a small amount of glue on the corners, I let it stand downwards to let it dry because the steel takes time to dry out especially that I made it during night time.
The following day, I got out from my bed and went out to take a look on my effort the previous night with excitement! I was really satisfied with the result!

My cutie little clutch bag matched my outfit too. It saved my pocket too!
See how it glittered with the bright lightings at daytime? I was happy that I took the pain to restore the beauty of my clutch bag and bring back its lustre. Doing it yourself project is a wonderful work of art and it's such an accomplishment when you've painstakingly worked on it in order to achieve your goal!
This is all for now, thanks to the needlework community and the admin @crosheille & company for giving me the opportunity to show my talents in this field of craftsmanship. God bless and more power!
(Note: I am submitting this ahead of time because we might have a power outage tomorrow. TY!)
