in #hive-12791125 days ago

Hello once again to the people of this community. Hope you all are doing great and enjoying mental health. I have mentioned before that my mid-term exam are almost here. And for me I crave to crochet in exams I don't know why but it distracts me from the tension and anxiety that papers give. I crochet instead of preparing for my exams. When I heard the news of paper I took my inComplete crochet project again and completed it finally.so the wait is over and I did complete my scoodie. I've shared before that I am working on a big project. And it took me many days to complete it. Here is the look.

This is not for me. My sister asked me to make it for her so i said Ok why not? I took inspiration of this project from pinterest. It was difficult to decide which color should I use. Then I went to the yarn shop and these two colors attracted me alot. So I decided to use these two. She also liked that color. I started making it. I went thorough many scoodies to decide whether I should make it by combining granny squares or doing knit stitch. But I find the granny squares more attractive so I decided to go with granny squares. I think I have shared the granny square pattern so many times before so let's skip that.

This project made me realized that combing the granny squares is not easy. Like I find making granny squares very easy but then combing them into a real thing is very difficult task for me. That's it took so many days. If it weren't for the joining part i would've completed it many days ago. I made total 32 squares for it. Because it have two sets so 16 for one and 16 for other.
Then I made the cap. I made the cap using a big big granny squares. I has like 8 rounds. I made two( one for one side and one for another). Then it joined them both.

At first I bought 4 yarn balls. I thought I it would be enough. But it ended as soon as I was done with the granny squares and one side of cap. So to go buy them was again a task. I went and bought 3 more yarn balls. Two brown and one grey. Because i had to use the brown in borderline also. When I almost completed it my sister said that I was short for her. When I heard that I was like no... I was not ready to make more granny squares so I took brown yarn to make borderline with sc. It looked so beautiful as Compared to using the granny squares to increase its length. When I started making granny squres I was making each granny square separately. Like I used to first complete the one granny square and then I move to the next. But in the middle I realized it would be alot easier to make base of each a one. Then R1 for each square. It made the work easier and less time consuming.
So I completed it and here are some final pictures.
