Today I'm going to show you how to decorate the traditional buttons of your garments, for that you will only need:
- Colored threads
- Classic buttons (4 holes)
- Needles

Process
I started by placing the button on the fabric, making sure that the holes were in the shape of a cross.

I took a needle with brown thread, which I threaded with four strands of thread, to cover the holes with a few passes.

I put the needle into the upper hole and pulled it out through the lower hole, forming a straight line. I repeated this step 5 times.

This button measures approximately 2cm in diameter. They were the only pieces I had with 4 holes. However, it can be seen that the embroidery works on any type of button, this one has the border detail and die cut letters and it is still possible to embroider.💡 Tips: if you want you can make another flower and it would be double, you must repeat the step in the same upper hole.
For the second design take out the needle and put it in the hole leaving part of the thread, take out the needle a little bit and roll part of the thread, in this case I made 20 turns, carefully take out the needle with the thread and put it in the lower hole of the button, repeat the process two more times.
Para el segundo diseño se saca la aguja y se mete en el orificio dejando parte del hilo, se saca un poco la aguja y se enrolla parte del hilo, en este caso le di 20 vueltas, con cuidado saque la aguja con el hilo y lo metí en el orificio inferior del botón, repetí el proceso dos veces más.
Change needle and thread color, now I put the needle in the right hole, wind the thread 20 times, take out the needle and put it in the lower hole. Repeat the procedure with the left hole.

I secure the embroidery with a simple knot on the reverse side.

In this design use the Rococo knotThis type of details looks perfect on the buttons of the cuffs of the shirts, you can try it wherever you want and it will look great.
Este tipo de detalles queda perfecto en los botones de los puños de las camisas, puedes probarlo donde desees igual se verá muy bien.
In this case I used sewing thread, you could use mouline thread (embroidery) in case the button is medium to large, for small buttons it would be more comfortable to work with thread as I show you here.
En este caso yo utilice hilo de coser, podrías utilizar hilo mouline (bordar) en el caso de que el botón sea mediano a grande, ya para los botones pequeños sería más cómodo trabajar con hilo como te lo muestro aquí.
