Hi, I'm My Teenages. Today I'm going to show you a butterfly amigurumi I made to give to my cousin, who is about to have a baby.😊
Tutorial que seguí para hacer la Mariposa
Recently my aunt contacted me to ask me to make something for my cousin who will soon have a baby. We recently found out that it's going to be a girl and I thought it was a good idea to make her something from me so she can decorate her future daughter's room and when the idea of this butterfly came to me it seemed perfect. I think my choice was influenced by my own tastes 😅 and when I was little I loved butterflies; even my 5th birthday was insect themed so I could be a butterfly...
Remembering this, I really liked the idea of giving her something that represents me or represents the little me and so she has something of me. My cousin is currently living in Spain and it is true that now I am not very close to her, but I have very good memories of my childhood by her side and seeing that she is creating a new life makes me very happy for her. I know that I will not be very present in the growth of her daughter, but at least this way she will have a part of me by her side.
On the other hand, I was surprised how easy it was to make this amigurumi. Everything is knitted in a row, that is, from the head comes out the body. There was nothing in particular that I found difficult about the butterfly. I would say the hard part was choosing which needle thickness and whether to make it 1 or 2 strands. That took me several tries, but in the end I did it with a 2.5mm needle and a double strand of 1mm yarn. It took me only one day to finish it and I think that without those little inconveniences it would have taken me even less.
I really liked the result; it looks very cute, I even considered making one for myself, but since I grew up I decided not to have stuffed animals as decoration around the room and in my bed there is no room for a stuffed animal anymore😅. I hope my cousin likes the gift and even more her daughter 🌸Lía🌸. Thank you for reading me and giving me a bit of your time. I hope you liked this project and were entertained a little. ❤️ I wish you have a nice life, bye!
