Hi, I'm My Teenages. Today I want to show you a request my mom made me for my older brother's birthday.
Tutorial que seguí para hacer el Capibara
My older brother was about to have a birthday and my mom asked me to make him a capybara amigurumi to complement his present. Capybaras are one of the many weird animals my brother likes, in fact I think one of the more normal ones. To give you an idea, my brother's top 5 favorite animals are as follows: 1. tanuki/machape, 2. chiwire/capibara, 3. picozapato, 4. lemur, 5. Comodo dragon.
It is the biggest amigurimi I have made so far and I think it was not a good choice to knit with 1 mm yarn and 2.50 needle. My hand hurt a lot afterwards, but when I saw the result I was very satisfied with the delicate finish it gives.
On the detail side, the hands were pretty weird to me; they remind me of chicken feet and I had a hard time loving them for those. Everywhere you looked they were weird, but I didn't have much time to do anything else since I only had one day left until my birthday. Next, I made the coffee cup, which was originally a mate, but since we've never had mate, ps I changed it to a coffee. By sewing it to the little hands making them join, I could already accept how they looked.
This is how it turned out. I personally liked it a lot and, although it was no longer a surprise because of my carelessness, my brother also liked his gift and now the capybara adorns his desk. And yes, we had to wrap his gift with Christmas paper, jsjsjhs. Thanks for reading me and giving me some of your time. I hope you liked this project and were entertained a bit. ❤️ I wish you have a nice life, bye!
