Departure moments are always emotional even if it is just that a loved one is traveling on a long journey to some other location.
I have heard that genuine kisses are seen in the places or points of departure,An emotional one is seen at the airport during plane takeoffs
when your loved ones are leaving and you are not sure if they will arrive safely, this experience was even more emotional at the time when plane crash was rampant, we see them off to the airports with kisses prayers and give them gift from things we value the most.
Genuine kisses are also seen at the door of hospital theaters when a loved one is about going in for a surgery and you are not sure if they will ever come back through that door.
Not only in death do we feel the absence of a loved one, when you live all your life with your parents and it is time to get married and go live in another city surely you will feel the absence of your parents.
This is exactly how I feel right now regarding my sister who is about moving away from Ilorin to a new buy far away location.
She is relocating with the husband and children.
We have lived together all our lives and she was my bed partner, I was always happy sleeping beside her and will always coil up around her each time I was cold during my teenage years.
We grew up together and she got married, but living in the same state I didn't feel her absence that much..
I practically joined her to take care of her babies each time she had a new born. Sewing clothes for the children was fun for me. As I see them lovely and adorable in my designs, but its time to say goodbye and I want to sew her a final goodbye present.
Just a simple skirt and blouse using our African print fabric. This is the work on the blouse so far.
How do you all cope with departure of loved ones.
