Blue happens to be my favorite color, whatever shade of Blue is fine by me but this royal blue has a special place in my heart.
Is it right to use a customers outfit to make clothes for ourselves and family.
I believe that it is totally out of a fashion work principle. Once you finish designing a cloth for your customer and a reasonable piece of the cloth remains it is only fair to give them back their remaining fabrics. Some customers are so generous enough to give us back the remaining scarabs since they have no use for it.
That was how I got these pieces of fabrics, but what can I make with tiny pieces of fabrics like this.
The lace material is only half an inch and the fabric can sew probably just a camisole.
But a blue dress will look more royal on my niece hence she inherited these scraps which I have worked on to what we have here.
I had an idea in my head to mix the blue fabric with white tulle net but it is just a pity that whenever I need an accessory urgently for sewing it is often not sold in the neighborhood. The cost of transportation to the market takes about $2 and I couldn't head out to the market just to purchase a tulle net worth $0.4.
Most of the times I do a bulk buying of the most accessories but while working something just comes up that you will need and won't be able to have them handy.
Having Kept loads of fabric patches from sewing over the years both for myself friends and customers, i find it difficult to dispose of these scraps always feeling that they will be useful.
Check out this graduation dress I made for my cousin a year ago you can see just where I got this scraps from. I turned and twisted the scraps until I got a perfect measurements out for my niece, thank God I have a baby around that scraps will be useful for.
The lower part of her dress needs additional fabrics to form the gathers which the these pieces can not make so it isn't a bad idea if I can purchase half a yard satin for $0.5 to get this completed..
Making use of the embroidery I have at home I have scattered these pieces of white embellishments all around the lower part gumming it down with hot glue.
At least my niece has another useful dress to rock.
