Idea para hacer un sueter/disfraz de dinosaurio 🦖🪡🧵❤️ [esp/eng]

Hoy quiero compartir una especial idea de disfraz pero que no parezca disfraz totalmente, este se puede usar en diferentes ocasiones, no solo en carnavales, y con una linda figura de dinosaurio 🦖 especial para esos chicos que ya están en esa edad que no se consideran niños pero tampoco se consideran grandes, ven y te muestro esta linda idea:

Today I want to share a special costume idea but one that doesn't look like a costume at all, this can be used on different occasions, not just at carnivals, and with a cute dinosaur figure 🦖 especially for those kids who are already at that age who don't consider themselves children but they don't consider themselves big either, come and I'll show you this nice idea:

Mi hija más chiquita tiene 11 años y me pidió un disfraz que no pareciera disfraz de bebé ya que ella ya no es una bebé, entonces convénzannos a pensar entre ella, yo y el internet 😂 a ver qué podríamos crear para que se disfrazara sin estar del todo disfrazada, ustedes me entienden 🤭

Bueno cómo madre pense que ella ya está dejando de ser niña y se está convirtiendo en una linda señorita, y no quería dejar pasar este momento en el que todavía quiere disfrutar de las cosas lindas de la niñez, pero con apariencia de niña grande, entonces luego de tanto pensar le propuse en crearle un suéter ell cual ella podrá usar luego de pasar estas fechas de carnavales, yo tuve la idea principal y ella me ayudó a ponerle su toque personal, aquí te dejo la lista de los materiales que utilice:

• 1 ,50 metros de tela polar verde
• 50cm de tela polar naranja
• un retazo de tela polar blanca ( de esta tenia un retazo en casa)
• maquina de coser

My youngest daughter is 11 years old and she asked me for a costume that didn't look like a baby costume since she is no longer a baby, so convince us to think between her, me and the internet 😂 to see what we could create so that she could dress up without being completely disguised, you understand me 🤭

Well, as a mother, I thought that she is already ceasing to be a child and is becoming a beautiful young lady, and I did not want to let this moment pass in which she still wants to enjoy the beautiful things of childhood, but with the appearance of a big girl, so After so much thinking, I suggested creating a sweater for her that she can wear after passing these carnival dates. I had the main idea and she helped me put her personal touch on it. Here is the list of the materials I used:

• 1.50 meters of green polar fabric
• 50cm of orange fleece fabric
• a piece of white fleece fabric (I had a piece of this at home)
• sewing machine

Comenzaremos dibujando el modelo de nuestro suéter, entre mi hija y yo tuvimos varias ideas, pensamos en hacer un mono completo, luego ella me dijo que no lo quería de esa manera, luego pensamos en hacerlo mono y chaqueta, le dije a mi hija que lo complicado era el presupuesto ya que llevaría mucha tela y esta tela es un poco costosa para mi capital ja ja.

Entonces el modelo ideal sería como el sueter que usare de guía, pero con todos los detalles de dinosaurio y hasta la cintura, pero mi hija me pidió que fuese largo, casi como un vestido, pero igual a los suéter con su capucha , otra cosa que ella pidió fue hacerle cola ya que a ella le parece linda y graciosa así que manos a la obra.

We will start by drawing the model of our sweater, between my daughter and I we had several ideas, we thought about making a complete jumpsuit, then she told me that she didn't want it that way, then we thought about making it a jumpsuit and jacket, I told my daughter that The complicated thing was the budget since it would take a lot of fabric and this fabric is a little expensive for my capital ha ha.

So the ideal model would be like the sweater that I will use as a guide, but with all the dinosaur details and up to the waist, but my daughter asked me for it to be long, almost like a dress, but just like the sweater with its hood, something else What she asked for was to stand in line since she thinks it's cute and funny, so let's get to work.

En este paso vamos a dibujar el modelo, en mi caso lo hago directamente sobre la tela, comienzo dibujando la parte delantera, dejo un excedente para poder hacer el dobles donde lleva botones o cierre, luego de tener el dibujo corto mi tela.

Con la parte delantera me guió para dibujar la parte trasera, disminuyo en la espalda el excedente que corté en la parte de adelante, el hombro trasero le hago 1 cm más y en la parte del cuello 2 cm más alto que la parte delantera.

In this step we are going to draw the model, in my case I do it directly on the fabric, I start by drawing the front part, I leave a surplus to be able to make the doubles where it has buttons or closure, after having the drawing I cut my fabric.

With the front part he guided me to draw the back part, I reduce the excess in the back that I cut in the front part, I make the back shoulder 1 cm more and in the neck part 2 cm higher than the front part.

Luego de cortar estas dos piezas sentí un poco de susto ya que el retazo excedente lo vi poco para las piezas que me faltan, por un momento pensé que no me alcanzaría, luego mostré las mangas y la capucha y vi que sí sería suficiente.

Continué dibujando las mangas, luego corte, mostré la capucha para ver si alcanzaba el retazo restante, vi que si era suficiente, dibujé y corté, el pedazo que quedó le di la forma para hacer la cola del dinosaurio.

After cutting these two pieces I felt a little scared since I didn't see the excess piece for the missing pieces, for a moment I thought it wouldn't be enough, then I showed the sleeves and the hood and I saw that it would be enough.

I continued drawing the sleeves, then cut, I showed the hood to see if it reached the remaining piece, I saw that it was enough, I drew and cut, I shaped the remaining piece to make the dinosaur's tail.

Luego procedemos a cortar todos los detalles que van en color naranja, comenzaremos con la panza del dinosaurio, esta le haremos especie de un medio círculo el cual medirá 50 cm de alto por 32 de ancho a esta le vamos a hacer una forma un poco redondeada y esta tendrá la función de ser un bolsillo para este suéter.

La capucha mide en el frente 40 cm en la parte más ancha 35 cm y en la parte trasera 30 cm

las escamas o no sé cómo llamarlas las que lleva entre el espalda cola y cabeza 🦖 esta serán de una medida de 10 cm por 9 cm de altura

Then we proceed to cut out all the details that are in orange color, we will start with the dinosaur's belly, we will make this a kind of half circle which will measure 50 cm high by 32 cm wide. We are going to make this one a little rounded shape and this will have the function of being a pocket for this sweater.

The hood measures 40 cm at the front, 35 cm at the widest part and 30 cm at the back.

the scales or I don't know what to call them, the ones between the back, tail and head 🦖 these will measure 10 cm by 9 cm high

Ahora viene la parte de coser, empezare por las escamas anaranjadas, a estas les voy a colocar entretela para que queden mas firmes y se logren ver mejor, unimos con costura luego volteamos y se le pasa una costura por el lado derecho y así lo hago con todas las escamas.

En total hice nueve escamas, las cuales las distribui de esta manera: 4 para la cabeza o capucha, 3 para la espalda y 2 para la cola.

A la cola le hice un escama más pequeña ya que las grandes serían difícil de unírselas, luego le unir las escamas a la capucha.

Now comes the sewing part, I will start with the orange scales, I am going to place interlining on these so that they are firmer and can be seen better, we join with sewing then we turn and pass a seam on the right side and that is how I do it with all the scales.

In total I made nine scales, which I distributed in this way: 4 for the head or hood, 3 for the back and 2 for the tail.

I made smaller scales for the tail since the large ones would be difficult to attach, then I attached the scales to the hood.

Para unir las escamas y la cola a la parte trasera hice como una pinza y le pasé la costura, esto con la intención de no cortar la tela a la mitad

To attach the scales and the tail to the back I made a clamp and sewed it, this with the intention of not cutting the fabric in half

El proceso para coser es como armar una camisa, se une con costura en los hombros, luego se le unen las mangas, luego uno la parte de color naranja de la panza la cual también tendrá la función de ser bolsillo de esta chaqueta o suéter , luego le hago el ruedo en la parte delantera de un ancho de aproximadamente 2 cm este es para los botones y ojales, a esta parte casi siempre se le pone entretela, en este caso no le voy a colocar ya que la tela es bastante gruesa.

Luego le hago el ruedo abajo de forma independiente para poder hacerle unas pequeñas aberturas a cada lado ya que la parte de atrás es un poco más larga que la parte delantera.

The sewing process is like putting together a shirt, it is sewn together on the shoulders, then the sleeves are attached, then the orange part of the belly is attached, which will also serve as a pocket for this jacket or sweater. Then I make the hem on the front part with a width of approximately 2 cm. This is for the buttons and buttonholes. Interlining is almost always added to this part. In this case I am not going to add it since the fabric is quite thick.

Then I hem the bottom independently so I can make small openings on each side since the back is a little longer than the front.

Para los puños de las mangas corté un retazo de 14 cm de ancho, la manga tiene un ancho de 30 cm en circunferencia así que le voy a reducir solamente 2 cm el cual será de 28 cm.

El retraso de tela que cortamos lo vamos a unir con costura luego doblamos a la mitad y calculamos para unirlo a las mangas del suéter

For the cuffs of the sleeves I cut a piece 14 cm wide, the sleeve has a width of 30 cm in circumference so I am going to reduce it by only 2 cm which will be 28 cm.

We are going to sew the fabric delay that we cut, then we fold it in half and calculate to join it to the sleeves of the sweater.

Continuamos con la capucha, para esta cortaremos una tira de color naranja para todo el alrededor del frente y le haré la forma de los dientes en tela blanca.

Para los dientes cortaremos una tira de 36 cm de larga por 12 cm de ancha está la doble a la mitad y le di la forma de seis triángulos de 6cm cada uno a esta le puse entre tela corté lo sobrantes y voltee., pase costura por el lado derecho y uno a la capucha, a la tira naranja le hice un ojal para meterle una trenza.

We continue with the hood, for this we will cut an orange strip all around the front and I will make the shape of the teeth in white fabric.

For the teeth we will cut a strip 36 cm long by 12 cm wide. I double it in half and I gave it the shape of six triangles of 6 cm each. I put this between fabric, cut the excess and turned it over. Pass the seam along the right side and one to the hood, I made an eyelet on the orange strip to put a braid in it.

Para finalizar corte unos retazos de tela negra y dos ruedas de color blanco esta es la unidad la tela y luego le di la forma a la tela negra de pestañas, bueno intenté darle la forma ja ja ja no me quedaron perfectas pero mi hija estuvo muy contenta con el resultado.

El proceso para hacer este suéter me tomó casi todo el día lunes, pensé que me iba a quedar tiempo para publicar pero que tan cansada que me fue imposible, son muchos detalles los que hay que cuidar para ir armándolo, mi hija estaba muy ansiosa en estrenar su suéter, tanto que no me dejó terminarle los ojos y casi no me dejan ni colocarle los botones 😂

To finish, I cut some pieces of black fabric and two white wheels, this is the fabric unit and then I shaped the black eyelash fabric, well I tried to shape it ha ha ha, they didn't turn out perfect but my daughter was very happy with the result.

The process to make this sweater took me almost all day Monday, I thought I would have time to publish but I was so tired that it was impossible, there are many details that have to be taken care of to put it together, my daughter was very anxious in brand new sweater, so much so that they didn't let me finish the eyes and they almost didn't let me even put on the buttons 😂

Pero al final de todo valió la pena todo este proceso y ver esa sonrisa hermosa en el rostro de mi hija, aquí les muestro el resultado final: un lindo suéter con forma de dinosaurio especial para esos chicos que no quieren verse como un bebé, pero igual desean usar algo parecido a un disfraz 🦖🦖🦖🦖

But in the end it was worth all this process and seeing that beautiful smile on my daughter's face, here I show you the final result: a cute dinosaur-shaped sweater special for those kids who don't want to look like a baby, but They still want to wear something similar to a costume 🦖🦖🦖🦖
