Feliz lunes de agujas amigos de @needleworkmonday. Estoy muy feliz con el proyecto que hoy les vengo a mostrar porque es mi participación en el maravilloso concurso Needlework Your PET! que hoy finaliza y que nos hace crear hermosos proyectos para los peluditos de la casa y particularmente me encanta porque hace unir en familia para elegir qué hacer y una vez concretado ver lo hermoso que se ve Rocky con la creación final.
Happy needlework Monday friends of @needleworkmonday. I am very happy with the project that today I come to show you because it is my participation in the wonderful Needlework Your PET! contest that ends today and that makes us create beautiful projects for the little furry ones at home and I particularly love it because it makes us join as a family to choose what to do and once it is done see how beautiful Rocky looks with the final creation.
Me enteré unos días tarde del concurso y elegir que hacer en mi caso no es fácil. Para este concurso decimos hacer algo que representara la "personalidad" de Rocky y la palabra que usamos para describirlo es que es muy REBELDE, además de su mal carácter o pésimo humor, entonces nos decidimos por hacerle un chaleco al estilo callejero, porque también le gusta la calle al chiquitín que allí les muestro.
I found out a few days late about the contest and choosing what to do in my case is not easy. For this contest we decided to make something that would represent Rocky's “personality” and the word we use to describe him is that he is very REBELDE, besides his bad temper, so we decided to make him a street style vest, because he also likes the street.
Para hacer este proyecto usé un jean desgastado que tenia guardado para hacer algo útil y la utilidad fue el chaleco para Rocky. Tomé la camisa de la vinotinto que ya le había hecho antes y la use de medida para cortar.
To make this project I used a worn out jean that I had saved to make something useful and the utility was the vest for Rocky. I took the vinotinto shirt that I had already made him before and used it as a measure to cut.
Luego hice dos huecos por donde pasarían las dos patas delanteras y le hice flequillos ya que mi hijo así lo sugirió, según él acentúa el estilo rebelde.
Pasé luego a hacer la orilla o el borde con costura recta a todo el chaleco.
Then I made two holes where the two front legs would go through and made bangs since my son suggested it, according to him it accentuates the rebellious style.I then went on to make the border or edge with straight stitching all the way around the vest.
Las chaquetas con gorros están de moda así que para hacerla más actual corté de una tela peluche estampada dos piezas para formar un gorrito que uní pasando costura en zic zac y luego con costura recta lo cosí al chaleco.
Jackets with hats are in fashion so to make it more modern I cut two pieces from a printed teddy fabric to form a little hat that I joined using zic zac stitching and then with straight stitching I sewed it to the vest.
Faltaba algo y mi hija sugirió colocarle imágenes, así que colocamos una imagen del Rayo ya que él es muy veloz y la del corazón atravesado por una flecha que aunque sugiere que no hay amor (y rocky a veces parece que no quiere a nadie jajaja) el tiene sus episodios cortos de demostrarnos su cariño. Así que lo pegué en la parte de la espalda del chaleco.
Something was missing and my daughter suggested placing images on it, so we placed an image of Lightning since he is very fast and the one with the heart pierced by an arrow that although it suggests that there is no love (and rocky sometimes seems not to love anyone hahaha) he has his short episodes of showing us his affection. So I stuck it on the back of the vest.
Y vino la parte de las pruebas donde Rocky no colaboró para nada con las fotos, le quedó perfecto en tamaño pero como a él no le gusta que lo molesten colocándole ropa decidió pasar la tarde durmiendo con el chaleco puesto porque aunque intento quitárselo y no pudo, no le quedo más remedio que dejárselo. Pero se veía bello mi gruñón precioso.
And then came the part of the tests where Rocky did not cooperate at all with the photos, it was perfect in size but as he does not like to be bothered putting clothes on him he decided to spend the afternoon sleeping with the vest on because although he tried to take it off and could not, he had no choice but to leave it on. But he looked beautiful my precious grumpy.
Este ha sido mi proyecto de participación para el concurso, espero les guste tanto como a nosotros en casa que quedamos complacidos con el resultado menos Rocky jajaja. Suerte a todos los participantes y es un gusto admirar tantos bellos proyectos. Saludos y nos leemos pronto.
