Good morning friends. Am fine and you all? I have come in life to rely on that skill is among the important aspect of life even before entering or graduating from University. I Nigeria today, life is really difficult to even as a University graduate. It will be difficult for you to survive because there is not a large number of jobs in the country. Also, considering the low economy in the country is hard for us citizens to survive. I am happy today that I was able to come across #hive which gave me the opportunity to exercise my sewing through the #needlework community and I am also happy that I would be learning from other authors.

When I left adolescent age, I noticed that life is really difficult in Nigeria. I had no other option but to find a skill to support myself in education and also In life. I was thinking about the type of skill or craftwork to engage myself in, I didn’t know the one to go for not until an Uncle of mine who was a tailor when he was still alive encouraged me with sewing and that was how I took interest for sewing and today, I am really enjoying it.

Sewing or tailoring handwork has supported me in so many ways in life and I am not ready to allow my handwork to collapse but I will rather continue seeking more knowledge on needle works through the #NeedleWorkMonday community by its different authors across the globe.

Iron is a type of electronic equipment used for the straightening of sewing materials before cutting them for sewing pieces demand. Iron could also be used to iron the clothes which you just sewed for your customer for the material to look neat and mature.

A chalkboard is a form of writing material used for making out sketches on a plane raw sewing material for clothing. Chalkboard also assists a tailor to know the exact line for cutting clothes into pieces before sewing takes place.

Scissors in tailoring are one of the common tools used for cutting sewing material into pieces according to the choice of the tailor to enable him to get the actual sewing design and type the customer demanded.

Thread is a tiny material that looks like a line but is used for sewing and also for stitching. The thread and needlework together.

How I sewed the shut wear for myself:

I took the measurement for myself: Measurement is the process in which a tailor determines the size and style of dress to be sewed for a customer before sewing will take place.

Waist is 34

Laps is 16

Down labs close to the knee are 14

Note: I used a sewing tape to determine the measurement and the type of material I used for the sewing was light culture material.

Ironing of the material; Once I was done with the measurement, I have to iron the material to make it straight because there is no way I will use it the same way I bought it from the market without ironing.

Drawing of line; after I was done with the ironing, I have to use a chalkboard to make a kind of sketch on the light culture material to be sewed to help me make the cutting properly.

Cutting of the material; I have to cut the materials into pieces with scissors before sewing.

Primary sewing with a needle which I later loosed after the main sewing took place.

Main sewing with zip fixing and button. Final ironing. Then packaging of the material.

Hope you are planning to expand your sewing business as part of the job opportunity?

Yes of course because in Nigeria i only have hope from craft work to survive

It saddens me to know that after so much sacrifice to study I still don't have opportunities for a decent job, but I'm glad to know that you have used your knowledge to grow.
Don't stop, keep going. Success and blessings

Thanks for the courage giving to me

The short looks great and you did a wonderful job Brother, I could remember the first time I sew a short(when I was still an apprentice), it was for a fat friend of mine, I didn't add extra allowance to the back, and these cause the short not to stay firm on his waist.
But now I know better, even though my cloth Sewing is now periodically.

Keep up the good work.

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work

Hi friend, welcome to Hive and the Needle Work Monday Community ❤️! Every Monday we share our work with photos and use the hashtag #needleworkmonday and the rest of the days we use the hashtag #needlework. I invite you to share with us the step by step of your work to accompany you in your creative process ❤️. If you have any questions about the community, you can consult the FAQ or also ask me and I'll be happy to help you 😃.

Here are some friendly tips on Hive and how to get along:

-Here the effort is rewarded: if you make a good publication, you could be rewarded for it. Make sure to take the best pictures possible, this is the most striking thing about a nice post, but a good text is interesting. I particularly prefer texts that show some feeling more than tutorial mechanics, but little by little you will find your own style.

-Try to build relationships with other members of the community: in particular, the members of NWM are very companions and support each other's posts. We all like to receive a nice comment: give to receive it.

-If you haven't been told before: the tolerance for plagiarism is zero. Always original and new content every time.

Surely there are many more things, but to begin with, these will be fine. I hope to see you in this community again, sewing is a great job and I hope you manage to make it a good source of work! I wish you success with your blog!

Greetings ❤️

Thanks for the directions and i have just viewed the FAQ
