Good Monday to all of you, friends of Needle Work Monday. I hope you are starting the week in the best way and that you had a great weekend. As always I was walking and walking, reunited with friends and family. I think we were all in a good mood after Argentina won their match on Saturday, so the good spirits of the crowd was general. At the end of Sunday, already at home resting, I decided to take a moment for my favorite hobby and it was my turn to finish this project that had advanced 90% since the last time I sat down to sew 😅.
Buen lunes para todos, amigos de Needle Work Monday. Espero que estén empezando la semana de la mejor manera y que hayan tenido un gran fin de semana. Yo como siempre estuve paseando y paseando, reunida con amigos y familia. Creo que todos estuvimos de buen humor después de que Argentina ganara su partido el sábado, así que el buen ánimo de la gente era algo general. Al final del domingo, ya en casa descansando, puse tomarme un momento para mi pasatiempo preferido y fue el turno de terminar este proyecto que tenía avanzado en un 90% desde la última vez que me senté a coser 😅.
Yesterday I mainly dedicated myself to making small sewing repairs: mending some clothes, finishing hems on some towels and adjusting large clothes for my little nieces. It seems like those little jobs around the house always come up so I'm glad to have my machine working so I can fix everything. I even had time to finish this project that I had started when I sewed the pink top for the fancy dress 😃.
Ayer me dediqué principalmente a hacer pequeños arreglos de costura: remendar algunas prendas, terminar dobladillos en unas toallas y ajustar ropa grande a mis pequeñas sobrinas. Parece que esos pequeños trabajos en la casa siempre surgen así que me alegra tener mi máquina funcional para poder arreglar todo. Incluso tuve tiempo de terminar este proyecto que había empezado cuando cosí el top rosado para el vestido elegante 😃.
Since I had only bought 2 meters of pink lace and had only made one top in my life, I first took it upon myself to test the measurements of the patterns on another fabric to make sure everything was correct. For that I used my last large piece of black lace and this top came from them. When I saw that the size was correct, I left the project until there and got to work on the same top in pink. I only had to sew the straps for this one, but I didn't have that much time and I wanted to have the pink dress finished 😅.
Como había comprado apenas 2 metros de encaje rosado y solo había hecho un top en mi vida, primero me encargué de ensayar las medidas de los moldes en otra tela para asegurar que todo sea correcto. Para eso usé mi último retazo grande de encaje negro y de ellos salió este top. Cuando vi que el tamaño era correcto, dejé el proyecto hasta ahí y puse manos a la obra en el mismo top en rosado. Solo me había quedado pendiente coser los breteles de este, pero no tenía tanto tiempo y quería tener el vestido rosado terminado 😅.
So now, thanks to my past self, I just had to assemble the straps, sew them on and that was it. Unlike the pink top, this garment is lingerie because it has transparencies in the part of the cups, which in any way makes it more sensual and beautiful ❤️. (Have you noticed my box of metallic accessories? On a very boring day I glued on those little shiny crystals one by one).
Entonces ahora, gracias a mi yo del pasado, solo tuve que ensamblar los breteles, coserlos y eso fue todo. A diferencia del top rosa, esta prenda es de lencería porque tiene transparencias en la parte de las copas, lo que lo que de cualquier modo lo hace más sensual y hermoso ❤️. (¿Vieron mi caja de accesorios metálicos? En un día de mucho aburrimiento le pegué uno por uno esos pequeños cristales brillantes).
Finalmente, así quedó el top negro. Como si faltara ropa negra en mis outfits de ropa interior 😃.
When I see a finished project and its fit is very nice, I feel that all the time I invested learning and watching videos are worth it. Even my little sister liked it, and since we're the same size, now I have to make sure she doesn't steal it. Maybe I'll add one for her on my schedule, but I haven't promised her anything yet 😅.
Cuando veo un proyecto terminado y su calce es muy lindo siento que todo el tiempo que invertí aprendiendo y viendo videos valen la pena. Incluso a mi pequeña hermana le gustó, y como tenemos el mismo talle, ahora tengo que asegurarme de que no me lo robe. Quizás en mi agenda agregue la confección de uno para ella, pero aún no le prometí nada 😅.
I currently have two other unfinished bras and a long list of promised projects that I hope to gradually materialize. This time of the year is always difficult because I have more work from private classes because my students finish their courses, but somehow I want to have a moment to sew and share with you. Sometimes that means staying up late like last night, but better late than never 😅.
Actualmente tengo otros dos corpiños inconclusos y una larga lista de proyectos prometidos que espero ir materializando de a poco. Esta época del año siempre es algo difícil porque tengo más trabajo de clases particulares porque mis alumnos terminan sus cursos, pero de algún modo quiero tener un momento para coser y compartir con ustedes. A veces eso significa quedarme hasta la madrugada como anoche, pero mejor tarde que nunca 😅.
