Monday once again, friends of Hive & Needle Work Monday. Far from complaining because the week started, this day always puts me in a good mood because it's the time we have to share the projects we've been working on. Here in Argentina we are experiencing a heat wave that has been going on for 14 days, the weather is terrible and the temperature doesn't even drop at night, but we still don't let that make us want to do the things we want. It was just a matter of putting the fan next to me and finishing one of the projects I wanted to do for a long time: a bra with an adjustable back. Hope you like it ❣️.

Lejos de renegar porque empezó la semana, este día siempre me pone de buen humor porque es el momento que tenemos para compartir los proyectos en los que hemos estado trabajando. Por acá en Argentina estamos viviendo una ola de calor que ya lleva 14 días, el clima está terrible y ni siquiera a la noche baja la temperatura, pero igual no dejamos que eso nos saque las ganas de hacer las cosas que queremos. Solo fue cuestión de ponerme el ventilador al lado y terminar uno de los proyectos que quería hacer hace tiempo: un corpiño con espalda regulable. Espero que les guste ❣️.
To continue with my wish list, I kept reviewing my box of scraps and projects that were abandoned or not even started, which by the way, I have many. Among all the lace I have, I found the pieces cut out to make a bodice, but the pieces of fabric that go on the back were missing. This gave me the idea that I could fix this by doing the back with just elastics, which is something I've wanted to try for a while 😃.
Para continuar con mi lista de deseos seguí revisando mi caja de retazos y de proyectos abandonados o ni siquiera empezados, que dicho sea de paso, tengo muchos. Entre todos los encajes que tengo me encontré con las piezas recortadas para hacer un corpiño, pero le faltaban las piezas de tela que van en la espalda. Esto me dio la idea de que podría solucionar esto haciendo la espalda solo con elásticos, que es algo que quería probar hace tiempo 😃.
I don't remember when I cut these pieces, but I'm sure it was several years ago, at least two. I realized this because this was one of the first molds I tried when I started with all this lingerie stuff: it's a basic design that only has a clip at the bottom, so just by closing it the piece of clothing is already assembled. the cup. This mold worked pretty well, I don't know why I never did it again 😅.
No me acuerdo cuándo corté estas piezas, pero estoy segura de que fue hace varios años, al menos dos. Me di cuenta porque este fue uno de los primeros moldes que probé cuando me inicié con todo esto de la lencería: es un diseño básico que solo tiene una pinza en la parte inferior, por lo que con solo cerrarla ya se tiene armada la pieza de la copa. Este molde funcionaba bastante bien, no sé por qué nunca más lo hice 😅.
Although the idea was clear in my head, I had to write down the way in which I was going to sew the elastics so as not to get dizzy. In order to hook the back and the straps, the two pieces had to have a total of 6 rings. These hooks are made with the same elastic as the edge, so it should not be cut flush once the elastic is finished, but rather leave a surplus to join the hooks 😃.
Si bien la idea estaba clara en mi cabeza, tuve que anotar la forma en la que iba a coser los elásticos para no marearme. Para poder enganchar la espalda y los breteles, la dos piezas tenían que tener un total de 6 argollas. Estos ganchos se hacen con el mismo elástico del borde, por lo que no se debe cortar al ras una vez que termina el elastizado, sino que se debe dejar un excedente para unir los ganchitos 😃.
With all the elastics in place, it's time to assemble the straps. To do this, I took the measurements that the back piece should have and cut strips that size, leaving an extra 3 cm in case I needed to adjust or enlarge it. You have to be very careful in this part too: a strap worn inside out later can be a problem 😅.
Con todos los elásticos en su lugar, llega el momento de ensamblar los breteles. Para hacer esto, tomé las medidas que debería tener la pieza de la espalda y corté tiras de ese tamaño, dejando unos 3 cm extras por si necesitaba ajustarlo o agrandarlo. Hay que tener mucho cuidado en esta parte también: un bretel puesto al revés después puede ser un problema 😅.
And finally, this is how this garment turned out. It's really very light because of the little fabric it has, but I think it's also very sensual because it's practically all transparent. I liked this design, the more straps the garments have, they seem prettier to me ❤️.
Y finalmente, así es como quedó esta prenda. Es realmente muy liviana por la poca tela que lleva, pero creo que es muy sensual también porque practicamente es todo transparente. Me gustó este diseño, mientras más tiras tengan las prendas me parecen más lindas ❤️.
The good thing about making your own lingerie is that you can think of a design and materialize it. Social networks help to have inspiration on the designs that we may like, but at the end of all the merit of the work is all our own. I'm glad that this design is unique, and also that I have all the materials to make it beautiful 💕.
Lo bueno de hacer tu propia lencería es que podes pensar un diseño y materializarlo. Las redes sociales ayudan a tener inspiración sobre los diseños que nos pueden gustar, pero al final de todo el mérito del trabajo es todo propio. Me alegra que este diseño sea único, y también contar con todos los materiales para hacerlo hermoso 💕.

Apparently today will also be another day of intense heat and we will only have to resist a little longer. The forecast calls for rain and some relief to arrive on Wednesday, but until I see it I won't believe. Meanwhile, my fan helped keep me warm while I was sewing, although I don't deny that my pins were flying all the time. Luckily, everything went well anyway and now I have one more project that came to an end ❤️.
Aparentemente hoy también será un día más de calor intenso y solo nos quedará resistir un poco más. El pronóstico anuncia que la lluvia y algo del alivio llegarán el miércoles, pero hasta no verlo no creeré. Mientras tanto, mi ventilador me ayudó un poco a no pasar calor mientras estaba cosiendo, aunque no niego que se me volaban los alfileres a cada rato. Por suerte, todo salió bien igual y ahora tengo un proyecto más que llegó a su fin ❤️.
