When it comes to embroidery I have clearly too many ideas and not enough patience.
Even though I find the thought of sitting next to the fire or under a tree in the sunshine, executing one stitch after the other, listening to a story or the sound of the wind in the leaves, a bird singing… very romantic.
One day, I will do so!
(Inspiration: not my photos, the names of the artists are writen on the sides)
Creating a dress, that took me a year of stitching awesome creatures, shapes and plants on to. A dress that wouldn’t even match the wildest dreams of the most spoiled princess of all times.
Meanwhile I will pass my time otherwise. As by learning how to do embroidery with a machine and using a program to design the subjects.
Which is exactly what I did this Wednesday.
And which was super exciting.
...seeing how the machine is slowly translating my design into stitches
...adding one layer after the other
...its like watching tv (which I never do) so I should probably say like watching a fire, you know what I mean?
All the doors that opened by learning this new skill, by adding embroidery to my creative repertoire, feels amazing, to me.
I could basically design lingerie now, every detail of it. The lace up to the shapes and designs.
But let’s not get too lost.
I had two first try outs…
…oranges?
I couldn’t help it and choose my logo for one.
Flower background it is for this one...
While, as you might remark, I still have to get into picking the right colours.
They turned out quite messy, in my opinion.
But hey, first time, so no need to be too judgy.
Feel like I am going through another princess-phase, since I seem to be very attracted by pinks, golds and pastel colours. But I enjoy it.
All the possibilities of colours are overwhelmingly beautiful!
Which is one thing, that makes me not being able to choose anymore.
Meanwhile just looking at the in the process is fulfilling. Taking one by one in my hands, holding them up against the wall. Taking photos of them.
Or just getting lost, looking at all those different shades.
Imagining what else would be possible.
Thank you for all the sharing and appreciation!! Have a wonderful weekend!
