Happy and blessed weekend to all of you dear needleworkers. I am pleased to share with you again mini mat number 6 of my most recent crochet project.
This has been a very busy week and full of things to resolve, however today I decided to take a moment to do something that would give me peace and tranquility after such a busy week. After cleaning the house a bit with the help of my kids, we had lunch together and then I took the afternoon to knit for a while and gather my thoughts. Knitting helps to clear the mind as we have to concentrate on the sequence we have to do.
I found this pattern perfect to keep me focused on the project, as you have to strictly follow each stitch to achieve the figure in the center of the mat. Since I saw this chart I have been determined to knit it, I love it when little by little the figure is formed lap after lap. At first glance it seems very complicated, but each finished lap causes a lot of excitement and a lot of desire to reach the last lap.
I'm really enjoying interpreting the charts and following the instructions, it allows me to understand how the authors of the patterns create shapes just by placing the right stitches in each turn. I'm sure that after a lot of practice I will be able to draw my own charts with simple and beautiful figures.
Every new thing I learn in crochet brings me a lot of joy, the same joy that brings me to share all my projects in my blog and in our dear NeedleWorkMonday community. I'll say goodbye for today, I wish you a beautiful weekend. Greetings and blessings.
