Blessed Friday my creative people. Receive from me a warm greeting wishing you all the best. Today I start the weekend with a lot of positive energy and desire to continue creating and sharing crochet content. This time I bring you the mini rug number 2 of my new project.
This is a very paricular pattern that I had not tried before. It is the central part of a large Granny square which is suggested in the magazine for making a tablecloth with several squares. However, since my current project is for mini rugs, I decided to knit only the central part which is the one that is knitted in the round. But I still don't rule out the possibility of knitting this granny pattern and making a tablecloth for Christmas.
This time I worked with the 2 mm acrylic yarn in yellow and I honestly love the way the finish looks. This yarn has a bit of sheen and its colors are very bright, which makes the mat look much better than when I knit with the raw wick yarn. In the same way, I like to knit with this thickness of yarn, as it gives firmness to the fabric, I can say that this type of material is ideal for this type of decorative projects.
Hacer esto me resultó muy relajante, me ayudó a darme cuenta que las cosas realmente nos son tan complicadas como parecen y que lo importante siempre es dar el primer paso con la mejor actitud, todo lo demás fluye solo.
At first I was a little scared of the pattern chart because it looks a little complicated, but I tried to understand it and follow the instructions for each turn. I relaxed watching some videos and decided to solve one lap at a time, as I usually do in my life, living one day at a time.
Doing this was very relaxing, it helped me to realize that things are not really as complicated as they seem and that the important thing is always to take the first step with the best attitude, everything else flows by itself.
For now I feel quite motivated to continue with this project and I am really enjoying the experience, I hope not to get discouraged and continue until I get many mini mats and a lot of learning. For now I say goodbye, wishing you an excellent and blessed weekend. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
