Happy and blessed Monday my dear NeedleWorkMonday crafty friends. I wish you an excellent start of the week. It is so nice to meet again on our Needlework Monday. I am very pleased to see more and more posts on our special day. In this post I want to share with you a very simple and easy, but also very nice project. It is a fish applique crochet knitted.
Crocheted flat figures work very well as appliqués for other projects. There are a variety of simple shapes and patterns that can be found on Pinterest and other platforms. Over the weekend, I was practicing some patterns for flat figures, from that practice came these two fish patterns. One large one with a slightly more complex pattern and other small fish with a much simpler pattern.
As I have already mentioned in previous publications, I have as a personal project to practice many patterns and charts in order to learn different techniques that will help me in the future to create my own patterns. I think it is a goal that requires a lot of practice, but I am going slowly, learning at my own pace.
I must confess that the big fish chart was a bit difficult to figure out, however, I decided to go ahead and knit as best I could. I wasn't thrilled with the end result, but I was glad I tried. I think that when you do this type of weaving, you should starch the fabric so that you can better see the figure being formed. This is just an idea, I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do, but I will investigate it to find out for sure.
Este ha sido mi pequeño proyecto para iniciar la semana. Gracias por leer, saludos y bendiciones.
As for the smaller fish, these were much simpler and quicker to knit. The pattern is very simple, so they are ideal for children's projects. You can also make key chains with this design by simply joining two identical pieces together and filling them.
This has been my little project to start the week. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
