En esta ocasión les quiero mostrar una sencilla base tejida que elaboré como base para mi teléfono celular.

This time I want to show you a simple crocheted base that I made as a base for my cell phone.
Hace unos días estuve buscando ideas para realizar una base para mi teléfono celular, ya que por lo general lo uso para ver video tutoriales cuando decido tejer en mi cuarto. Necesitaba una base que me permitiera sostener mi teléfono de forma horizontal, pero la mayoría de diseños que encontré eran de forma vertical. Encontré una idea de una base en forma de sofá que me gustó mucho, entonces decidí intentarlo.
A few days ago I was looking for ideas to make a base for my cell phone, since I usually use it to watch video tutorials when I decide to knit in my room. I needed a base that would allow me to hold my phone horizontally, but most of the designs I found were vertical. I found an idea for a sofa shaped base that I really liked, so I decided to give it a try.
El material a utilizar debía ser lo bastante grueso como para que la base se sostenga por sí sola y pueda soportar el peso del teléfono. Así que recordé que tenía un cordel de algodón crudo de 4mm de un proyecto anterior y lo fusioné con un hilo acrílico de 1mm en color rosado. Tejer con este material tan grueso me resultó un poco difícil de manejar con una aguja del número 5, pero si usaba una aguja más grande corría el riesgo de que el tejido me quedará flojo.
The material to be used had to be thick enough for the base to stand on its own and support the weight of the phone. So I remembered I had some 4mm raw cotton string from a previous project and fused it with 1mm acrylic yarn in pink. I found knitting with this thick material a bit unwieldy with a number 5 needle, but if I used a larger needle I ran the risk of having a loose weave.
El resultado final me gustó mucho, quedó bastante funcional y ahora puedo colocar mi teléfono de manera horizontal cada vez que quiera ver una serie o algún video, por lo que puedo decir que se cumplió el objetivo de elaborar una base tejida.
I really liked the final result, it was quite functional and now I can place my phone horizontally every time I want to watch a series or a video, so I can say that the objective of making a woven base was achieved.
