Blessed day dear friends of NeedleWorkMonday, it is a pleasure to greet you again from my creative space. Today I want to share with you a new project related to Christmas. It is a pot holder in the colors allusive to Christmas that I made with much affection for one of my friends.
The pot holders are one of the projects I do the most during these dates, since most of my family and friends like to decorate their homes at Christmas and the kitchen is one of those spaces that lends itself to all kinds of decorations. The wipes and pot holders are basic in any kitchen and when Christmas comes it is normal that we want to use these elements in the colors allusive to Christmas.
I knitted these pot holders with the purpose of giving them to one of my best friends who is a fan of Christmas decorations and also loves cooking and baking. Soon I will go to visit her and I thought I would bring her a little present that I am sure she will love.
This pot grabber pattern is my favorite because it is so simple, being made with two equal pieces of granny squares. The design can be varied by simply choosing a different granny design and combining different colors. In my case, I worked with red and yellow, since they are allusive to Christmas.
These pot holders are one of the first Christmas decorative projects I've made so far, besides the amigurumi nativity scene that I've shown you in previous posts. Soon I will continue to share more knitted projects on my blog. For now I'll say goodbye until a future post. Thanks for reading, greetings and blessings.
