Hello, hello friends needlecraft lovers. Today I am very happy to share with you a very special project. It is a purse that I knitted for my daughter who had her birthday last Friday.
Esta técnica es muy bonita, pero tiene su grado de dificultad y cuando se enredan las hebras resulta un poco tedioso. Por otro lado hay que estar muy concentrado e ir contando las puntadas para que la figura que queremos se vea lo mejor posible.
This wallet is totally different from the wallets I have knitted before. It is a special project because I had been wanting to knit a purse with this checkerboard theme for a long time and knitting it for my daughter made me put a lot of love and dedication into it. To achieve this checkerboard effect, you must knit it using the tapestry crochet technique, which involves carrying a strand of yarn inside the fabric.
This technique is very pretty, but it has its degree of difficulty and when the threads get tangled it is a bit tedious. On the other hand, you have to be very concentrated and count the stitches so that the figure you want looks as good as possible.
Weaving with the 2mm Colombian macramé was a great advantage because the bag has a lot of structure and looks very firm. It took me three afternoons to make this purse. It was a bit frustrating not to be able to weave as fast as I usually do, as having to change yarns constantly prevents the weaving to be more fluid.
El resultado final me gustó mucho y siento que valió mucho la pena todo el estrés que sentí cada vez que se me enredaban las hebras.
Lo más importante es que a mi hija le gustó mucho su regalo.
This checkerboard style design was found on Pinterest in a variety of color combinations, but my daughter loved it in black and white. Although I don't like knitting with black yarn, I couldn't refuse since I promised my daughter that I would knit her whatever she chose for her birthday.
I really liked the final result and I feel that it was worth all the stress I felt every time the threads got tangled.
Most importantly, my daughter loved her gift.
Gracias a todos por el apoyo, saludos y bendiciones.
It fills me with satisfaction when I make this kind of projects that are a new challenge and a new learning experience. I have practiced the tapestry crochet technique before, but this is the most complete project I have done and I am happy that my daughter will be the one to wear it.
Thank you all for your support, greetings and blessings.
