The Age of Covid Sewing
My niece is three-years-old, I’ve never met her. I know, why would anyone do such a thing? Well, it’s complicated. My immediate family has severe immune issues; they cannot fraternize, they cannot be exposed. I know, Covid is over…haha, but I still wear a mask wherever I go, even when I chat to neighbors over the fence. The reason is that I don’t want my mom to die, which until recently seemed to be a real possibility.
My mom is old, she wouldn’t want me to divulge her age; she has pride (Haha, she won’t come downstairs in the morning without her hair and makeup properly done). My mom is old school, everything must be proper.
But still, my niece and nephew (three-years-old, and one, respectively). Oh, wow, how can I count the ways…how can I count the things I’ve missed. Today was my nephew’s birthday, I had to sit it out while the rest of the family celebrated.
So, what do I do? What?
I sew clothes, that’s what I do. I make tracksuits, dresses, t-shirts, that’s what I do…
See my latest project, not much I know, but made with love.
Love, I tell you, love….
