Saludos querida comunidad, el día de hoy le s comparto un trabajo muy especial para participar en el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 258, se trata de un colgante de pared hecho en la técnica de macramé, el personaje retratado se trata de Naga Fire Wizard, carta de Splinterlands donde nos cuentan que es un personaje muy inteligente y hábil en todas las armas conocidas, además sabe usar la magia la cual la hace un oponente muy fuerte. Greetings dear community, today I share with you a very special work to participate in the Splinterlands Art Contest # 258, it is a wall hanging made in the macramé technique, the character portrayed is Naga Fire Wizard, card from Splinterlands where they say that she is a very intelligent character and skilled in all known weapons, she also knows how to use magic which makes her a very strong opponent. Proceso / Process
Lo primero que hice para hacer este trabajo fue buscar la imagen de la carta y realizar un recorte de la imagen acorde a las proporciones que quería realizar el retrato en macramé, a partir de esta imagen recortada pude hacer mi patrón determinando los colores de hilo a utilizar. En así como llegue a la decisión de usar 17 colores de hilo, a mayor número de colores es más difícil el trabajo pero estaba decidida a hacer un gran proyecto.
The first thing I did to do this work was to look for the image of the letter and cut out the image according to the proportions that I wanted to make the macramé portrait. From this cut image I was able to make my pattern by determining the colors of thread to use. As soon as I came to the decision to use 17 colors of thread, the more colors the more difficult the work, but I was determined to make a great project.
Usé hilo acrílico color ladrillo para el fondo y negro para el delineado de la figura. Para el rostro usé dos tonos de rojo y dos tonos de rosado, para el cabello usé tres tonos de color verde, en la ropa también usé tres tonos de color verde pero diferentes a los primeros, para el collar, la tiara y las púas en la cabeza usé dos tonos de amarillo, para las piedras usé tres tonos de púrpura. Es importante usar al menos dos o tres tonos diferentes por área de color para poder hacer la luces, las sombras y los tonos medios, es decir que esto funciona bajo los mismos fundamentos de la pintura.
I used brick-colored acrylic yarn for the background and black for the outline of the figure. For the face I used two shades of red and two shades of pink, for the hair I used three shades of green, on the clothes I also used three shades of green but different from the first, for the necklace, the tiara and the spikes on For the head I used two shades of yellow, for the stones I used three shades of purple. It is important to use at least two or three different tones per color area to be able to make highlights, shadows and mid-tones, meaning that this works under the same fundamentals as painting.
Como soporte usé un palito de chupeta y dos ganchos para ropa, con el hilo color ladrillo corté 13 hebras de 50cm y una hebra la dejé unida al ovillo. Tomé las hebras por la mitad y realicé un nudo alondra para unir las hebras al palito, dejando la hebra larga al lado izquierdo. La hebra larga es para hacer los nudos mientras que las otras 27 sirven de hilos guía.
As a support I used a lollipop stick and two clothespins, with the brick-colored yarn I cut thirteen 50cm strands and left one strand attached to the ball. I took the strands in half and made a lark knot to join the strands to the stick, leaving the long strand on the left side. The long strand is for tying the knots while the other 27 serve as guide threads.
Con la hebra larga hice 5 hileras de nudos simples, es decir que la hebra envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, luego agregué el color negro para el delineado del cuerno, luego el amarillo claro y al amarillo oscuro, cada uno de los colores que se van necesitando a medida que avanza la figura deben sujetarse con por el lado de atrás, de este modo los hilos se cruzan por detrás al cambiar de color.
With the long strand I made 5 rows of simple knots, that is, the strand wraps each of the guide threads twice, then I added the black color for the outline of the horn, then the light yellow and the dark yellow, each of the Colors that are needed as the figure progresses must be held on the back side, in this way the threads cross behind when changing colors.
Poco a poco fui haciendo los nudos correspondientes a la figura. Vale la pena decir que es muy importante usar los tonos correspondientes, por ejemplo los dos tonos de rojo no tenían mucha diferencia entre si, es decir uno era solo un poco más oscuro que el otro, pero al terminar el rostro vemos como hay efecto de luz y sombra en el rostro rojo, esos detalles hacen la diferencia.
Little by little I was making the knots corresponding to the figure. It is worth saying that it is very important to use the corresponding tones, for example the two shades of red did not have much difference between each other, that is, one was only a little darker than the other, but when the face is finished we see how there is an effect of light and shadow in the red face, those details make the difference.
Igualmente ocurre en la parte rosada del rostro, la diferencia de los dos tonos de rosado hacen que se vea mas iluminada la parte del mentón del personaje. Lo mismo ocurre con las piedras púrpura las cuales se puede ver ese efecto de brillo gracias a los tres tonos de hilo.
The same thing happens in the pink part of the face, the difference between the two shades of pink makes the part of the character's chin look more illuminated. The same happens with the purple stones which you can see that shine effect thanks to the three shades of thread.
Una vez terminada la figura, dividí en tres partes los hilos guía, en grupos de 9 hilos, con un hebra de color rojo hice un nudo corredizo y corté los hilos. Con hilo color ladrillo corté 6 hebras de 20cm e hice una tranza que anuda al palito para hacer el colgante.
Once I finished the figure, I divided the guide threads into three parts, in groups of 9 threads, with a red thread I made a sliding knot and cut the threads. With brick-colored thread I cut 6 strands of 20cm and made a braid that tied to the stick to make the handle.
Resultado / Result
Yo estoy fascinada con el resultado, es primera vez que uso tantos colores diferentes de hilo para un trabajo en macramé y siento que fue un gran logro, espero seguir superando cada vez más retos como este 🥰
