Greetings dear community, happy #NeedleWorkMonday and happy new year 2023, for those who have followed my blog from the beginning, they know that it is my habit at the end of the year to make a publication where I summarize my needlework projects throughout the year, this is for me very gratifying and gives me energy to continue working in the coming year, I recommend making this type of publication because sometimes the creators feel that we have not advanced enough or that we have stagnated, making the annual summary provides us with valuable information about what we have achieved and learned, I particularly feel very satisfied because despite the fact that this year I had many personal adversities I did not stop working and did large and complicated projects, I did not leave my needles aside at any time and even in the most complex scenarios I did not I gave up on the projects. I share with you my joy.
Making the photo collages was a bit complicated because I didn't know whether to do them by date or by the similarity between the projects, in the end I decided to do it the second way, in the first two you can find projects that had a different purpose or that their The process is different both in the technique and in the materials, so there are the patches that I made with two needles, the centerpieces, the earrings, bracelets and chokers, as well as the rug and the cat that I made by recycling strips of fabric , the cushions I made in patchwork, among other things. The projects that excite me the most in this group were the first time I crocheted with beads, I embroidered ribbon flowers, cross-stitched medallions and my favorite projects were the two crocheted masks that I made for Halloween and for Valentine's Day. dead. I am also very grateful that the members of the community have participated and supported the Halloween mask contest 🥰
In the following collage you can see the amigurumis, although I used this technique in some previous projects such as centerpieces and earrings, I grouped in this one those that are dolls or figures, in this sense this year I did complex projects with many details, there are 24 in this collage, but my favorites are the ones that have important costume details as well as the challenge that their elaboration was, I take for example the most rock and detailed amigurumis that I have made, like Alice Cooper with her snake and striped suit, as well as Mick Mars with his fender guitar and top hat. I love the amigurumi of the Martian from the Tim Burton movie because making the head and brain was a challenge and I also really enjoyed making the weapon that he carries in his hands. As if that were not enough, I had the beautiful challenge of making a Mermaid for @silversaver, I loved doing this figure with its tail and hair, and it is the first time that I have made a woman's chest similar to real breasts. The peacock amigurumi took the longest due to its size and long tail. Although small amigurumis are not left behind, try to have as many details as possible in a very small size, for example the cupcake I made for @mike.cupcakes who I hope is recovering very well from his cancer treatment. This year I even made a miniature amigurumi. Joy invades me when I realize everything I have done and the fun of each of the figures.
This year will remain forever in my heart because I dared to do two big projects, the first of these was crochet chess, I made the 32 pieces and the board, sharing with you the detailed tutorial for each one.
The last project of the year was also a big one, it was about making figures to decorate my Christmas tree, I made 22 figures in total and it took about 6 weeks, my mother and my son are very happy with the result, making my son happy Christmas was my goal and I achieved it thanks in part to my work with this project.
This year 2022 was full of good and bad emotions but needlework was never lacking, thanks to you for supporting me, every comment received as well as every reblog makes me very happy, I am very grateful to this community @NeedleWorkMonday and everyone in general, too I thank the @borago project for choosing me in a week as the best author thanks to my Christmas project. I send you all a big hug and may this new year be full of happiness and productivity for everyone 💜
