Greetings dear community, after the Halloween challenge many of my needleworking friends have been asking me for a challenge with a Christmas theme, because I was so busy with aspects related to my son's health I did not feel up to it, however after talk for a while with my friend @ chacald.dcymt the ideas came to me immediately, I realized the importance of the Hive community and how we went beyond the computer screen to connect with other people in a deep way through this platform .
We are at Christmas time one of the traditions of my country is the Christmas exchange of gifts, that is why I came up with an exchange of handmade gifts through Hive, you will wonder how this would be possible, because of course The gifts would not be given in a physical way unless the people so wish and the distance allows it, my idea is to make a gift inspired by another Hiver that is appreciated and dedicate that post to him.
In Hive there are wonderful people, some inspire us with their lives and with their work on the platform, so I extend my invitation not only to all needle workers but also to anyone who draws or makes any craft to participate in this challenge. I promise to be giving my support to their publications and to raffle a special prize to three of the participants.
Also, I thank this community and its community builders for supporting me in the last challenge and I hope you like my idea of this challenge. I send you a lot of love and I am open to suggestions since due to connection problems I have not had the good fortune to participate in the live chat, to which the dear @lauramica has invited me.

Today as it is Monday I could not miss publishing something knitted so I will tell you how I made the Christmas hat to my mini me.
With white yarn and # 4 crochet hook (1.25 mm) I made 4 single crochets in a ring, made 4 increases to get 8 stitches, did a round without increases and then did 4 decreases, closed with a slip stitch and filled the sphere with fiber.
With red thread I took 4 single crochets of the sphere, I worked two increases for the next 13 rounds, on the next row I made 6 increases to complete 36 stitches. I closed with a slip stitch.
With white thread taking only the back side I did a round of slipped stitches, in the next round taking only the back side I made 36 single crochets, taking the complete stitches I made another round of single crochets. I closed with a slip stitch and hid the yarn inside.
I hope you liked the result and I also hope that you will join in the challenge of handmade gifts.
