Saludos querida comunidad, el día de hoy comparto con ustedes la experiencia de haber hecho un amigurumi con forma de cuervo, este fue un encargo realizado por una amiga en redes sociales, al cual accedí con mucho entusiasmo porque el cuervo es una animal que me llama la atención desde que leí el poema de Edgar Allan Poe hace muchos años, con respecto a la comisión la cliente me envió una imagen de referencia de internet y me pidió que el amigurumi tuviera un aspecto lo más realista posible, es decir, no quería un estilo kawaii ni nada parecido, lo cual me pareció genial, solo me dijo que lo quería más pequeño que la referencia, así que le prometí hacerlo de un tamaño acorde a sus requerimientos.
Greetings dear community, today I share with you the experience of having made an amigurumi in the shape of a raven, this was a commission made by a friend on social networks, to which I agreed with great enthusiasm because the crow is an animal that has caught my attention since I read Edgar Allan Poe's poem many years ago, regarding the commission the client sent me a reference image from the internet and asked me to make the amigurumi look as realistic as possible, that is, I did not want a ka style waii or anything similar, which I thought was great, he just told me that he wanted it smaller than the reference, so I promised to make it a size according to his requirements.
Proceso / Process
Comencé haciendo un boceto a la lápiz para determinar las dimensiones del amigurumi, luego de esto hice todo el cuerpo con hilo acrílico de color negro y ganchillo #4 (1.25mm), comencé desde la cabeza, haciendo aumentos y disminuciones que me permitieran ir moldeando el cuerpo conforme a la inclinación del cuello y pecho del ave.
I started by making a pencil sketch to determine the dimensions of the amigurumi, after this I made the whole body with black acrylic yarn and #4 crochet hook (1.25mm), I started from the head, making increases and decreases that allowed me to mold the body according to the inclination of the bird's neck and chest.
Luego con hilo gris oscuro hice el pico formado por dos partes, un cilindro de 6 puntos bajos por 6 hileras, mientras que la parte superior se cose a la primera por la parte de arriba.
Then with dark gray thread I made the beak formed by two parts, a cylinder of 6 single crochets by 6 rows, while the upper part is sewn to the first one at the top.
Luego hice la cola que cosí al cuerpo del ave, posteriormente hice las alas, haciendo cada una de forma diferenciada, cosiendo a los lados y por último cosiendo un círculo.
Then I made the tail that I sewed to the body of the bird, later I made the wings, making each one in a different way, sewing on the sides and finally sewing a circle.
A diferencia a otras aves que he hecho, las patas del cuervo las hice envolviendo el alambre directamente con el hilo, luego con el ganchillo hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, hice tres aumentos y proseguí con tres hileras de puntos bajos, atravesando el cuerpo con el alambre y rellenado la parte superior de la patas, cosí las patas al cuerpo.
Unlike other birds I have made, the crow's legs were made by wrapping the wire directly with the yarn, then with the crochet hook I made 6 single crochets in a ring, I made three increases and continued with three rows of single crochets, going through the body with the wire and filling the upper part of the legs, I sewed the legs to the body.
Resultado / Result
Hacer este cuervo fue un desafío visual ,por conservar la forma realizada y además en color negro es algo difícil, a pesar de tener iluminación es un dolor de cabeza trabajar con hilo negro pero lo sigo haciendo porque el resultado me encanta. Luego de terminar el amigurumi tuve la impresión de estar tomando en mis manos un ave muerta y eso me causó cierto estremecimiento, pero eso significa que el resultado fue el correcto, así que me siento muy feliz. Espero a ustedes les guste tanto como a mi.
Making this raven was a visual challenge, because it preserves the shape made and also in black it is somewhat difficult, despite having lighting it is a headache to work with black thread but I keep doing it because I love the result. After finishing the amigurumi I had the impression that I was holding a dead bird in my hands and that caused me a certain shudder, but that means that the result was correct, so I feel very happy.
