¡Hola, espero te encuentres de maravilla!
Hi, I hope you are feeling great!
If I have to sum up february with an amigurumi, it would be with this Fire Dragon.
Since the beginning of february and together with other testers from different countries we have been testing the Lyra pattern. There were 2 versions of the Dragon to choose from: fire and ice. I chose the fire one. Let's see how it went!
¡Hamuy!
After careful consideration, I decided that this dragon would be for decoration, i.e. it will only be cleaned with a damp cloth and will not be washed. Once that was cleared up, I used fuchsia as the base color (yes, the one from the last publication). Also, being a fire dragon, it would have 3 colors: blue, orange and yellow.
This pattern has huge eyes. And I was between crocheting big eyes or crocheting the head very tight. I decided the 2nd option. I chose to try this pattern because of the different shapes the designer uses, I was curious about the use of the wire and the final size.
When I was at the tail end, I felt like I was 50% of the way through. I was also halfway through the planned time, so it was going very well. Although my colleagues were already assembling the Dragon, jaja.
Here is one of those photos that show my Dragon progress... I love joining pieces together. At this point I remember that I had run out of fuchsia thread, so I used the dark pink for the little pieces and the Dragon's chest.
The horns were also decorated with fuchsia yarn. For this, I unweaved a little mini wallet I had lying around (happily it was enough) and finished these pieces. Part II is coming.
¡Y eso es todo!
¡Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!.
Dato curioso: Algunos dicen que los patrones no son para aprender a tejer, yo digo que sí lo son. Cuando leo los patrones siendo como si la diseñadora estuviese conmigo dándome instrucciones. | Some say the patterns are not for learning to crochet, I say they are. When I read the patterns it is as if the designer is with me giving me instructions.
