Crochet 101: Marbella Top Pattern Test

in #hive-1279113 years ago

As what I mentioned in my previous post, I have been testing several crochet patterns the past weeks. I previously talked about my first and second pattern tests, and in this post, I am going to share with you my experience in the third one!

Crochet top designs that don't show too much skin is my weakness because it could easily be worn outside and to work without having the need to wear a cardigan. And in general, I am just not used to wearing too revealing clothes. So when I saw @laramiloops' tester call on Instagram for her #MarbellaTop , I applied right away! Her first prototype was actually a cropped top, but the beauty of a handmade clothing is that we can easily customize it according to our liking, as long as it still meets the designer's terms and conditions.

Honestly, I applied to Marbella without high hopes. I wasn't really expecting that I'd be part of the testing team, so when I received a message from Biray, the designer, I was completely surprised. I mean, wow. Just look at how beautiful this design is!

Marbella Top is a made-to-measure design, and is surely beginner-friendly! It is also super comfy to wear, especially if you use a thinner yarn. Depending on the color you choose and the customization you make, it can be worn on different occasions and places. It is indeed a crochet pattern worth having in your pattern collection!

I am super grateful that I was picked to be part of the team. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. Biray was also very open to comments and suggestions. Testing Marbella was indeed a fun and fruitful experience.

Written pattern for this design was already released! You may check it out through Etsy or message Biray on her IG profile at @laramiloops.

It's very pretty, how many hours does it take to make one of these?

Thankyou! The length of time to finish a project varies. The thickness of the yarn used and speed of the artist play a role in this. Hehe as for me, it took me few days in between work to finish the top. I wasn't able to track the time though, 'cause I would literally grab the project every free time I get. 🤣😅😊

What a beautiful shirt, the color is very niceI love your fabrics. Beautiful work, be sure to share them!

Thank you! And I agree...we can never go wrong with white! 😊

You did a great work with this top, I like it the designe and also the colour you chose.

How can I apply to be a pattern tester too? Are there a ot of requirements?
Thanks for shering your creations with us.

Hello! Thank you so much. ❤

Usually, the designer calls for testers through Instagram posts or stories. Then they have a form that the interested crocheters fill out. The designer will then choose among the artists who sent their application. Hehe So it helps if you follow designers/crocheters so you'll know right away if someone is lookimg for testers. 😀

Wow this is so beautiful thanks for sharing @herkeepsake wow

Ang ganda sis, ang linis Niya at parang comfy isuot. Thanks for sharing.😘🥰

Salamat po. ❤

I really like ruffles. What a fun top @herkeepsake!

I agree! And it is so comfy to wear!

Love the neutral colour. I am not big into short tops but longer .... I think I would never take it off! Lovely work and a lovely pattern @herkeepsake

Same! Especially because my parents keep on saying, "you should add more rows" Hahaha. I kinda wanna try cropped tops tho, so I bought highwaist pants/shorts to still cover some skin haha

Thank youuuuu. The designer did such a great job!

That is funny. You could probably dress it up or down if you layered.
