Hello hiveans,
Trust you have a nice day.
It's #needleworkmonday and I am glad to share with you how I installed buttons on a shirt, by making it firm di it can last longer.
Almost every individual knows how to use the needle and thread to tackle some life situations that can happen at any time. At a young and tender age in schools, as part of the curriculum in home management, we were taught how to make stitches in case of a torn uniform or school dress. Not all amendments are taken to the tailors shop.
So, I had to help my dad fix buttons on his shirt as most of them were worn out and some loosened.
I selected from a set of buttons I already have on which would match the shirt Colour and also a colored thread to fit so we don't have a color riot.
The button selected is one that is suitable for shirts, as it should be simple and chic.
So I used a small hand needle and thread. I folded my thread into two, and after fixing it in the needle it doubled to become four strands. I did this so that the sewing can be tight and firm. It would last long and not wear out fast.
Form the pictures above, that's me fixing the buttons by starting Form the back because we do not want the knotted end of the thread showing at the surface of the dress. It was easy and smooth, aside the fact that it was a hand work, I had to add professionalism so it can be neat.
That's the final outcome. One thing about been able to make amendment by yourself is that, it saves cost time and energy.
Thank you for stopping by my blog...
