Good morning everyone,
This morning I want to share with us my recent design. I decided to make something new as I love creating new designs and also it’s an avenue to teach my student new style. The bag was made with a black leather with touch of red synthetic snake skin leather. The bag is a midi one with three magnets holding the flap and also has an inner purse inside. To beautify the bag, I made a small tassel which you can see on the bag. Below I will be taking you through the process of me creating the bag. Enjoy!!!
MATERIALS USED
- Leather of choice
- Oketex fiber
- Gum
- Chi board
- Magnets
- Bottom pins
- Suade lining
- Maco 2
- Leather glue
- D rings
- Anchor
- Adjuster
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to make the pattern for the bag then I transferred it onto the fiber and I cut it out. I also cut out the leather and lining. After that, I gunned them together.
- Here I gummed the red design to the main body of the bag as seen below.
- I gummed the red leather to Maco2 and see it to make the small handle.
- Next I fixed the small handle, bottom pin and D rings to the side and the the magnets too. After that I see the inner pocket to the inside lining and I gummed the lining to the main body of the bag.
- Finally, I see the longer rope and the sides to the main body of the bag. Tada!!
