Crochet cute jellyfish_20241028_201704_0000.png

So this weekend was quite busy but I made time for crochet. I am having my exams next week. I had a lot to do . Many pending assignments and quizzes. I was so fed up by it all so I decided to do crochet and I made this very cute little jellyfish. It took me alot of time, almost 7 to 8 hours 😭😂 as I was at home and had some other chores to do as well. Also my yarn is a bit thinner so couldn't decide which hook to use.

For this I have used a 3mm hook, a darning needle, a pair of scissors and a 3ply yellow colour yarn. I made a magic ring first and did 6 stitches into the magic ring. Than for next rows I kept increasing the stitches to create the head of desired length. I kept increasing for the next five rows . Than to make the head round, decreasing from row 5 till row 11. As you can see now the head is formed, a complete round shaped.
It looks a bit weird in the beginning but it will find it's shape after stuffing it. I used simple cotton to do the stuffing otherwise polyester is used in it . But the cotton did the same for me so it is fine as well. Then after making the head select the first row from you started decreasing and make the frill type thing. I don't know what to say it properly 😭 but you get the concept. Making it till the end of the row.

If you make it till here only then you get a cute octopus but I wanted to crochet more so I added tentacles as well 😂. To make tentacles I made 19 chain and did slip stich in the 18 stiches. So that the tentacles are neither too thin nor too thick. I made around 8 tentacles, you can add more as well. But it looked enough for me. I took my anugrumi with me to university and when I was free than I added the eyes and the smile.
This is the final result.
