CROCHET BEAR 🐻

in #hive-12791111 days ago

Hello people of this community. How are you all doing . I hope you are enjoying your life and are in the best of your health . I'm happy to say my exams ended on Monday! Actually on our last paper we all friends went with our other friend to her hostel and it was an experience of a lifetime. And there we all decided to crochet something and whoever completes their project first will be the winner. So I chose to crochet a bear 🐻.

I crochet a bear because a while ago my sister and I were scrolling through Instagram and she saw a small bear and asked me if I could make one for her. So while I was with my friends I thought why not make something useful. But she asked me to make exactly what she saw so first I had to find the video. And it was so time taking but after so much efforts I finally found it. And when I found the video my friends were almost half through their projects so I really need to work hard to be back in the game . The things I used for this project are quite basic. I have used a 3mm crochet hook, yellow colour 3ply yarn, a darning needle, some stitch markers and the stuffing.

To make the head we start by making a MR(magic ring) and then doing 6 single crochet into the magic ring. Then for the next 5-6 rounds we have to keep increasing the stitches (increase means to make 2 stitches in one stitch) . Note that to make anugrumi, we always do a single crochet as it looks more neat and is much tighter. It gives the final product a very neat finish. When you're halfway through the bear face you have to now work with decreasing stitches. It is done by using BLO(back loop only). The decreasing also continues to 4-5 rounds untill a small opening is left . Now comes the stuffing part. You have to stuff it really well so that the bear looks healthy 😂.

After completing the head we went to the store across the road to buy some snacks as we were feeling a bit hungry . Then we came back and did a little chit chat took some photos and stuff. After this we get back to work . Then for the ears and the nose, I made it separately and then assembled it. For the nose i did almost 3 rows including increasing stitches as well. Then with the help of needle I made the cross on the nose. Joining the ears with the face is so hectic and it is the worse part for me😭 because the face is stuffed with cotton and it makes so much difficult with the stuffing as with each stitch the cotton keeps getting out. And for eyes I made the eyes earlier before stuffing and it was a relief. This was the final product.

I showed it to my sister and she loved it so much. And although I started my project a bit late I was second to complete my project🥰. It was so much fun. It was a good activity to do with your friends. We decided that we may do if often now . Let's see when we do it again .
I hope you guys like it too. Pray for my result also . I have made some other projects also and may post it soon. Till than take care of yourself.
Love you all. 😘
Bye bye🫂
