in #hive-1279112 years ago

Hi guys,
It good to be here again.Today I want to share with you a modern native wears I sewed, although to perfect the clothe took me like 2hours but it worth the time been consumed.i will like you to join me in this post as i will be showing you the process of how the native clothe is being made.
This kind of attires is mostly find in some part in Africa but not only African nowadays because this type of native wears are so now being embrace in some other part of the world.

PROCESSES OF SEWING

STEP 1:The fabric I am using is called a Irish fabric, which is brown in colour.when it comes to quality it is Middle low in quality.

Then I spread it on my cutting table.i am cutting the top first before the the trouser.

STEP2: Then I will get my acquired measurement for my cutting to accurate to prevent a shabbily made native.
THE MEASUREMENT FOR THE TOP AND TROUSER
TOP: length 34 ,chest 38, shoulder 18, sleeve 19,neck 17,
TROUSER: Length 40, thigh22,waist 32,ankle 14.
The first thing I do with the top is holding the material in four segment then Check my chest measurement to know the width of the fabric that I will be folding after that the next step is cutting my neck (2 by 3) remember our measurement for the neck is 17 ,it is after bringing the back and front of the clothe together is what will give us the exact measurement of the neck we are looking for.

Then I cut out the sleeve because the outfit is a short sleeve style.
The sleeve is 19 and the shoulder is 18 so I am going to divide the shoulder by 2 which is 9 then deduct it from my shoulder measurement to give me the accurate measurement of the sleeve am cutting, then sketch out my measurement and cut.

Now back to the top it going to be a brown mixed with a touch of white to it for the styling of the outfit so I cut out my white material and sew directly to the one side of the front piece of the outfit, giving it a thorough ironing will make it more neater.

STEP 3:The assembling of the fabric,i have my two pieces of the clothe, the sleeve ,the interface, the piping and the invisible zip.
Firstly am joining the two pieces with the interface then follow by the piping of the neck round about then my invisible zip and the assembling of the sleeve to the outfit, follow by the final join of the outfit.

STEP 4:The cutting of the trouser, check my measurement and sketch out the cutting process.

This type of trouser is a corporate trouser with zip and band, normally a native trouser is not sewn that way anyway that by the way side.
STEP5: Staying the slant pocket and band for a hard surface. Then the assembling of the trouser.
STEP 6: The first step is the assembling of the pocket to the first two piece of the trouser and fixing of the zip to the right hand side,f following the assembling of the other two pieces. The thigh is 22 and the ankle is 14 when introduce to the sewing it will be divided by two, The band and belt hole will be the next on the list.

Hello! Welcome to the Needle Work Monday community ❣️ I've never really seen these outfits in real life but from seeing them here so much it's as if I had. You have done a great job with this outfit, I congratulate you for your skill 💞.

Every week needleworkers from around the globe get together to share our work, patterns, tips, ideas and shortcuts as we support one another. Our goal is to inspire the Hive blockchain to give crafting a try.

On Monday’s we use the #needleworkmonday tag and on all other days we use the #needlework tag without the word Monday attached. We share and post our work directly from the Community page.

We encourage our members to share about their needlework life with us. We love hearing stories and what types of things inspired your projects. We challenge you to put some feeling and emotion into your publications and help us get to know the needler behind the fabric.

Feel free to share photos of your work but it’s optional if you choose to share the steps with us (we do require you share the step process in at least one of your posts for validation purposes). If you just want to needle and share about that time we’d love to hear about it. blush
