Hello, friends especially needleworkers!

It is just 4 days before Christmas so I would like to share you what else i made for Christmas this year. I tried to make bauble from this mouse in the Christmas pudding cross stitch. It was fun but it took much time for me to make and why don't you check it by yourself of how i made it...

Project Time:

Around 12 hours

Difficulty:

Medium

Materials & things needed:

  • Cross stitch fabric a.k.a aida
  • Embroidery floss in brown, medium brown, soft pink, soft khaki, cream, black green, red, light green, white, and red
  • Scissors
  • Felt fabric in white color
  • Compass
  • Ruler
  • Filling material, I used dacron
  • Red ribbon

Skills needed:

  • cross stitch
  • back stitch
  • running stitch
  • blanket stitch

How to make it:

1ST

I made the cross stitch for the chocolate pudding with brown and medium brown, then soft pink, soft khaki and also cream like below.

2ND

I made the mouse's nose with black embroidery floss then back stitch to make the mouse appearance continue with soft khaki and then green on the top.

3RD

Continue with the green and soft khaki then white for the top of the pudding right below the green part. After that i used the red color to make the mistletoe. Continue the leaves with soft green.

4TH

After finished with the cross stitch, I used back stitch to bold the Christmas pudding. Then I measured the radius for the circle i would make.

5TH

For the front part I made two circles while the back only one circle. I cut them off. Now time to join the front part with the cross stitch I made. I used running stitch with double red floss for this part.

6TH

I then cut the excess of the cross stitch fabric. Cut around 12 cm of ribbon. Then blanket stitch to join the front part and back part of the circle. I also put the ribbon on the top. Next, I blanket stitch around and added the filling stuff in it then closed it.
