I just want to cry right now. I wish this post would have came before I ruined one of the most beautiful yarns I ever laid my eyes on. When I purchased my first hank I didn’t realize I could have asked someone at the store to wind it in a ball for me. I also didn’t think to look up a tool such as this. I tried doing it by hand and got it so tangled I had to throw it out. I even did a post about it back then…

I’m glad you were able to get one. I too would prefer wood over plastic. Thanks for sharing this with us. I will definitely invest in one ~ 😊

Nooooooo! That sounds terrible! Did you really toss it? I would have slowly but surely got the yarn untangled, it’s annoying but worth it. When you do it by hand you have to put the yarn around table legs or something like that so it doesn’t get messy.

Depends on the store obviously but if they have a ball winder then it’s a possibility to have them wind it for you.

100% tencel yarn, that sounds interesting, I want some too. What were you going to make from it?

It was so terrible. Yes I did. I tossed the majority of it but kept a small ball that I detangled. I haven’t looked at it in years because I feel it’s been too stretched (this was when I didn’t know better not to make a tight ball).

I wish I would have known to put it around a table.

Yes, it’s a beautiful yarn. I actually purchased it to be my first knitting project. I wanted to make a lace scarf for the Spring time when it got cooler at night. I do plan on getting more eventually. 😊
