Hace unos días me han estado llegando unos mensajes muy bonitos a mi teléfono y se lo comenté a mi hijo Israel, él me explicaba que aunque parezca mentira hay aplicaciones que lo escuchan a uno y también denotan como es nuestra personalidad por nuestra manera de escribir.

El mensaje que más me gustó y he puesto en práctica en mi vida ha sido levantarme cada mañana y apenas pueda me voy al espejo, me sonrío, me abrazo y me digo palabras como ¡Te quiero Carolina!

Mis hijos al principio me decían que estaba loca, pero les expliqué que si yo no me amo a mi misma como puedo querer a los demás. Esta práctica se ha convertido en algo gracioso, porque cuando mi esposo me ve haciendo esto también se pone hacer lo mismo y todos terminamos riendo en casa.

The message that I liked the most and that I have put into practice in my life has been to get up every morning and as soon as I can I go to the mirror, smile, hug myself and say words like "I love you Carolina!

My children at first told me I was crazy, but I explained to them that if I don't love myself how can I love others. This practice has become funny, because when my husband sees me doing this he starts to do the same and we all end up laughing at home.

Otra práctica que tengo es ordenar mis ideas antes de levantarme de la cama, me gusta recordar lo que tengo pendiente y se lo encomiendo a Dios para que todo salga bien. Cuando hago esto estoy sola con mis pensamientos, en cambio sí me levanto de la cama sin hacerlo ya mi mente se ocupa y solo hace lo que se le va presentando en el camino.

Another practice I have is to put my thoughts in order before getting out of bed, I like to remember what I have pending and I entrust it to God so that everything goes well. When I do this I am alone with my thoughts, on the other hand if I get out of bed without doing it, my mind is already busy and it only does what comes its way.

Los primeros minutos al levantarte van a marcar tu día, trata de respirar, mira por la ventana y disfruta de ese bello amanecer. No importa si estás sola o acompañada, no importa si en tu casa todos van corriendo o simplemente están metidos en sus celulares, tú puedes marcar la diferencia.

Cuando hagas algo hermoso y nadie se dé cuenta, no te pongas triste, ve y diles que hiciste eso y quieres saber su opinión, de seguro te dirán algo lindo que hará que el día se ponga mejor.

The first few minutes after getting up will mark your day, try to breathe, look out the window and enjoy the beautiful sunrise. It doesn't matter if you are alone or with company, it doesn't matter if everyone at home is running around or just on their cell phones, you can make a difference.

Hoy quiero robarles una sonrisa con este lindo vestido rosado que hice para una clienta que aunque se fue a vivir a otro sitio, no deja de hacerme encargos. En mi post de la vez pasada les hablaba sobre cómo podemos explotar nuestros dones y talentos, darle valor a lo que hacemos y no regalar nuestro trabajo. ¡Pero ojo! ¡Tampoco vamos a sobrevalorar! Cada cosa tiene un valor y a mí me enseñaron que uno debe sumar todos los gastos que hiciste para realizar esa manualidad y multiplicarla por 3. Today I want to steal a smile with this pretty pink dress I made for a client that even though she moved to another place, she never stops ordering from me. El primer paso es buscar en internet cualquier patrón de canesú tejido en crochet, en YouTube puedes conseguir un montón, te recomiendo los tutoriales en español de Luisita Torres ya que son sencillos, fáciles de entender. Si no entiendes los tutoriales de YouTube puedes optar por los patrones que nos regala la página Pinterest.

Yo hice un canesú para un bebé de 3 meses, le hice algunas modificaciones en las mangas ya que no las quería muy largas; cuando lo tienes listo le pegas los botones.

The first step is to search the internet for any crochet knitted yoke patterns, on YouTube you can get a lot, I recommend the Spanish tutorials by Luisita Torres as they are simple, easy to understand. If you don't understand the YouTube tutorials you can opt for the patterns that the Pinterest page gives us.

I made a yoke for a 3 month old baby, I made some modifications in the sleeves because I didn't want them too long; when you have it ready you glue the buttons.

Para la falda recorté dos rectángulos de 40x30 centímetros, enfrentamos los derechos de la tela y pasamos costura por los laterales. Para esta medida es importante que sepas que debes tomar la medida de tu canesú en la parte baja, el total de esta la vas a multiplicar por 2 para que nos quede bien arruchado. En mi caso el contorno de cintura era de 40 centímetros así que esta falda tenía un total de 80. Y para el largo existe una tabla de medidas estándar que nos indican las medidas adecuadas. Para una bebé de meses la tabla nos indica que lo correcto son 27 centímetros de largo, así que le sume a esto 3 centímetros para la costura que vamos a realizar en los bordes.

For the skirt I cut out two rectangles of 40x30 centimeters, we face the right sides of the fabric and sew along the sides. Cuando ya tenemos esta costura lista vamos a tomar aguja e hilo y vamos a realizar plises hacia la misma dirección, lo ajustamos al canesú con alfileres. Por ultimo vamos a tomar aguja de coser más grande y hebra de hilo de la misma que utilizamos para tejer, con ella realizamos puntadas para unir la falda al canesú, hay que hacer varias para que no corra el riesgo de que se suelte al momento de lavar.

When we have this seam ready we are going to take needle and thread and we are going to make pleats in the same direction, we adjust it to the yoke with pins. Finally we are going to take a bigger sewing needle and thread strand of the same one we used to knit, with it we make stitches to join the skirt to the yoke, you have to make several so that it does not run the risk of coming loose when washing.

Si te gusta puedes realizar en la parte baja de la falda un bordado por todo el contorno. Por ultimo tejemos un lazo que resalte en la parte posterior, el mío lo hice de 16 cadenas y puntos bajos hasta obtener el tamaño deseado. Como era un encargo sencillo solo le acompañé el vestido con un lindo cintillo de 35 centímetros (recuerden que ellos tienden a estirar).

If you like you can make an embroidery all around the bottom of the skirt. Finally we knit a bow that stands out in the back, I made mine with 16 chains and low stitches until the desired size is obtained. As it was a simple order, I only accompanied the dress with a nice headband of 35 centimeters (remember that they tend to stretch).

Como ven es súper sencillo, puedes decorar el frente si gustas o si lo prefieres lo dejas así. Todo depende del gusto del cliente también.
