Blessed Friday, thankful for an active weekend
La semana ha estado movida, he estado confeccionando piezas para bebé, trajes de baño y algunas flores amarillas para este fin de semana. Una de las piezas elaborada fue el Body de bebé con mangas de efecto lechuga o "lechuguita". Es muy lindo, super suave y de un estampado hermoso. Es una prenda ideal para la etapa de recién nacido, le podemos combinar con un mono para abrigar mejor al bebé.
It's been a busy week, I've been making baby pieces, swimsuits and some yellow flowers for this weekend. One of the pieces I made was the Baby Bodysuit with lettuce-effect sleeves. It's very cute, super soft and has a beautiful print. It's an ideal garment for the newborn stage, we can combine it with a jumpsuit to keep the baby warmer.
Recientemente estuve en el Castillo, y tuve la oportunidad de comprar unos cuantos metros de telas estampadas con motivos infantiles. La tela es Microdurazno estampado, es demasiado suave y se puede elaborar casi que cualquier prenda con esta. En mi caso, como me dedico a la confección de ropa infantil, lo he usado para shorts, enterizos, bodys, franelas, faldas, vestidos y más.
I was recently at the Castle, and had the opportunity to buy a few meters of printed fabric with children's motifs. The fabric is printed Micropeach, it is very soft and you can make almost any garment with it. In my case, since I am dedicated to making children's clothing, I have used it for shorts, jumpsuits, bodysuits, shirts, skirts, dresses and more.
A este lindo body le he colocado en la parte inferior unos broches a presión, pero si no tienen de la prensadora de broches, pueden optar por colocarle algunos botones y hacer unos ojales. Las mangas pueden ser largas o cortas, pero una de las cosas notables son los bordes en efecto lechuga.
I've attached some snaps to the bottom of this cute bodysuit, but if you don't have a snap press, you can choose to attach some buttons and make some buttonholes. The sleeves can be long or short, but one of the most noticeable things is the lettuce-effect edges.

- Un listón de Micro Blanco o rosa, de aproximadamente 4 cm de ancho.

Proceso de Creación / Creation Process
Con el patron, corté las piezas. Básicamente necesitaremos las siguientes piezas:
Using the pattern, I cut out the pieces. Basically we will need the following pieces:

Comenzamos enfrentando derechos y uniendo por los hombros.
We start by facing each other and joining at the shoulders.
Medimos el contorno del cuello y le restamos 5 cm. Esta medida la llevamos al listón blanco de Micro y cosemos por los extremos para unir. Enfrentamos al cuello y cosemos estirando un poco por el contorno.
We measure the neck circumference and subtract 5 cm. We take this measurement to the white Micro ribbon and sew along the ends to join. We face the neck and sew, stretching it a little around the circumference.
Ahora vamos con las mangas, usando alfileres enfrentamos la parte central derecha y cosemos uniendo por toda la sisa.
Now we move on to the sleeves, using pins we face the right center part and sew, joining all around the armhole.
En este paso aprovechamos de realizar el efecto lechuga, donde colocando la puntada en ZigZag vamos a pasar por toda la orilla, tirando de la tela para que esta tome ondas. Algunas personas le pasan una sola vez, pero a mi me gusta que sean 2 o 3 veces para que quede bien sellada.
In this step we take advantage of creating the lettuce effect, where we place the ZigZag stitch and go over the entire edge, pulling the fabric so that it takes waves. Some people go over it just once, but I like it 2 or 3 times so that it is well sealed.
Cosemos por los costados, enfrentando derechos.
We sew along the sides, facing right sides.
En la parte inferior, tomaremos un listón de la misma tela, puede ser de 4 o 6 cm de ancho y lo cosemos por el contorno para formar el orillo.
At the bottom, we will take a strip of the same fabric, it can be 4 or 6 cm wide and we will sew it around the edge to form the edge.

Ahora le colocaremos los broches. Se los he colocado de color blanco.
