Hello everyone and needleworkmonday community!
How are you? I hope in times like this you're still healthy and always happy.
Today I want to tell you a sad story, about my cat being sick it's been 3 days. He has an abscess on the foot. I don't know why this happens, but I think he's out of the house and handed by another cat that is annoyed by the presence of Kepin.

The name of my cat Kepin, he colored oren tabby and I loved him like a son. Coming home from vacation yesterday, I saw my cat already looked lethargic and not want to eat, a look of feathers a bit dull and the nose is pale. Then I check it turns out that there is an abscess that is festering on his feet. Direct fast I compress using warm water and clean the abscess.

However, the habit of all the cats is like lick the body and we are familiar with a cat bath. The abscess is getting worse because it keeps licked and create an abscess widened and festering. So I took the initiative to make a collar for her so Kepin can't touch the wound. Because the price of the collar is rather expensive and I made a collar of residual material. I have some patchwork and a thin cardboard. I made him a collar. Curious about how to make a collar? Let's see!

Material:

  • Cardboard box size 30 cm x 30 cm
  • Fabric 2 strands of size 30 cm x 30 cm
  • Plates for the print size (I don't have a bow, so use what is there)
  • Scissors
  • Thread
  • Velcro 5 cm

How to make a:

  • Measure the cardboard using a bow with a diameter of 27 cm and 10 cm. Diameter of 27 cm for the outer circle and 10 cm to the inner circle. Cut cardboard.

  • Then mark on the fabric the same as cardboard, then cut into strips.

  • Sewing on the sign of the circle, like the photo below.
  • Attach the velcro and the collar is ready to use.
