Today I share with you the elaboration of a beautiful butterfly that I made for my niece Anamarbeth, she is the oldest of my nieces, she is a very sensitive young woman, she loves drawing, poetry and is a yoga instructor. I remember that when Anamarbeth was born, I felt that my heart was going to jump out of my chest with emotion, that was a little over 25 years ago; When my mom called me to tell her the news, I ran home, packed my suitcase, and took the first flight to meet her.
Hoy les comparto la elaboración de una linda mariposa especial para mi sobrina Anamarbeth, ella es la mayor de mis sobrinas es una joven bastante sensible, le encanta dibujar, la poesía y es instructora de yoga. Recuerdo que cuando Anamarbeth nació, sentí que el corazón se me iba a salir del pecho de la emoción, eso fue hace un poco más de 25 años; cuando mi mamá me llamó para darme la noticia, fui corriendo a casa, preparé mi maleta y tomé el primer vuelo para ir conocerla.

Elaboration process / Proceso de elaboración:
🌸 On Sunday my husband had to work, so I stayed home alone, as soon as he left I started to get the material for this project, although I have days with back pain I was very excited, so I did it little by little this project for the whole day. The first thing I did was select the colors, purple had to be used yes or yes, since it is my niece's favorite color, that's why I cut out the base of the butterfly in that color.
🌸El domingo a mi esposo le tocaba trabajar, así que me quedé sola en casa, tan pronto él se fue me puse a sacar el material para este proyecto, aunque tengo días con dolor de espalda estaba muy entusiasmada, entonces lo fui haciendo el proyecto de a poco durante todo el día. Lo primero que hice fue seleccionar los colores, el morado lo tenía que utilizar si o si, ya que es el color favorito de mi sobrina, por eso la base de la mariposa lo recorté de ese color.
🌸 I decorated the wings of the butterfly with some flowers and the body with pink beads, the rhinestone needle broke and I had to use a normal one to sew, but fortunately the beads were very cooperative and I was able to place them without any problem.
🌸 Decoré las alas de la mariposa con unas flores y el cuerpo con mostacillas rosadas, la aguja para pedrería se me rompió y tuve que utilizar una normal para coser, pero afortunadamente las mostacillas estuvieron muy colaboradoras y las pude colocar sin ningún problema.
🌸 Sometimes it happens to me that when I'm working on a project, they seem to talk to me and tell me what they want, this happened to me with the butterfly, it told me: You're going to leave me like this, only with the felt flowers! I want more shine! Then I put some fantasy sequins in the shape of flowers so that her wings would look prettier.
🌸 En ocasiones me sucede que cuando estoy trabajando en un proyecto, ellos parecen hablarme y decirme que quieren, esto me sucedió con la mariposa, me dijo: ¡Me vas a dejar así, únicamente con las flores de fieltro! ¡Quiero más brillo! Entonces le coloqué unas lentejuelas fantasías en forma de flores para que sus alitas lucieran más bonitas.
🌸 I closed the butterfly with a festoon stitch, I used green thread because I think it makes a nice combination with purple, and before putting the filling I put a few drops of geranium essential oil, so that when my niece goes to sleep she can relax and be inspired to continue writing her poetry.
🌸 Cerré la mariposa con punto festón, utilicé hilo verde porque me parece que hace una linda combinación con el morado y, antes de colocarle el relleno le puse unas gotas de aceite esencial de geranio, para que mi sobrina cuando se vaya a dormir se relaje e inspire para seguir escribiendo sus poesías.
🌸 I'm not an embroidery expert, so I looked for some doll eyes that my neighbor Luisa gave me a while ago, I chose the fixed eyes because they seemed more expressive with their long eyelashes.

🌸 No soy experta bordando, así que busqué unos ojitos para muñecas que hace un tiempo me regaló mi vecina Luisa, escogí los ojitos fijos porque me parecieron más expresivos con sus largas pestañas.
🌸With the same colors that I used for the butterfly, I made a heart and a tassel to finish decorating the pendant.
🌸Con los mismos colores que utilicé para la mariposa, elaboré un corazón y una borla para terminar de decorar el colgante.
