The saying goes, "Teaching children is like carving on stone, teaching parents is like carving on water."

Hello lovely friends

As I quoted a saying that we are very familiar with, then as parents we have to start instilling educational values from an early age. From childhood we must have named values that they will apply throughout their lives. One of the values that should not be forgotten is independence. With independence, it is hoped that every child will grow into a person who does not always depend on others. This is important so that in life when they grow up they will be able to become pillars in the family, community, nation and state. Of course this requires hard work from all the adults around them.

Train children to fry eggs

We can practice independence from simple things. It takes a process and assistance so that children still feel comfortable when practicing independently.
As I did to the youngest. He is now 10 years old and in the 4th grade of elementary school. If usually my wife never allows her to move near the stove for fear of being dangerous, this time I want to invite her to practice independently in the kitchen.
I teach how to fry eggs. I hope that by frying eggs one day he will not panic too much if there is no side dish and can fry his own eggs.

First I asked him to take the eggs from the refrigerator, turn on the stove and pour the margarine into the pan. While waiting for the margarine to melt and heat, he tried to break the eggs with a spoon and then pour them into the hot pan.

I asked to turn down the heat so it doesn't burn. He tried to turn the eggs carefully so as not to get oil from the margarine. With low heat, the eggs will look attractive and perfectly cooked.

After making sure the egg is perfectly cooked, I asked to turn off the stove and drain the eggs.
I saw a happy smile when he was able to make fried eggs. I also advised him to practice more often so that he can become more independent.

Thus my writing this time, hopefully it will inspire all.

Best regard from Indonesia.

Such a great initiative. Hope a lot more people teach their kids to cook basic foods.

Yes you are right, we need to teach our children well

It's great to let that guy start to learn how to be independent

Thank you for enjoy my post.

It is good to start teaching them from when they are very young , and we should make them know that both genders can be in the kitchen and it is not restricted to just a specific gender..

Yes, that is true. Work knows no gender. Everyone can work and it will be better if all children know work and responsibilities from a young age

Yeah sure
