Greetings to all my amazing foodies, it's been a long time doing this, got so busy with work and I have decided to maximize the holiday. I've really missed being here and learning new things but the good side is that I am here now. I decided to try out this homemade wheat bread recipe and it came out so perfect. My Grandma is diabetic and so I thought of something to do to make her holiday remarkable and this was a perfect choice. She loved every bite and this made her smile.

The ingredients I used are quite simple and they include;

Wheat flour - 300g
Sugar - 1tsp
Warm water
2tsp of yeast
1tsp of salt
Vegetable oil - 20g

PROCEDURE
I used the no-knead method and this method simple allows the yeast to do the bulk of the work by properly forming the gluten strands naturally. Again, it improves the texture and flavor of the bread and make this method all simple and easy.
Begin by adding 1tsp of sugar to the lukewarm water, then ensure the water is warm about 40°c then add in the yeast and give it a good stir and set aside to ensure the yeast is active.

The wheat used is a high protein organic wheat, now at this point, I sieved my wheat flour to ensure that it is free from any lump whatsoever. Add your salt to the flour and mix carefully.

Next, you are to add the wet ingredients to the dry beginning with the yeast mixture then thereafter, you add the vegetable oil and knead roughly to incorporate all ingredients. Then cover it and set aside for a couple of minutes, approximately 45min.

After 45min, wet the work surface with a little quantity of water and then turn out the dough then using your wet hand, knock the dough back by gently kneading.

Return it into the bowl and this time allow it to rise for 30mins. This allows the texture and taste of the bread to be better and nice.

While waiting for the final stage of rising, grease your pan. At the end of 30min, wet your work surface again and roll out the dough to fit into the pan and ensure the edges are neatly tucked in.

Place the dough in he pan and lightly press it to fill up any space, cover with a kitchen napkin and allow to rise I a warm-dry free place until it is a little above the rim of the loaf pan.

Preheat the oven to 180°c , place the bread into the oven and allow to bake for 30min.

When the 30min is over, turn off the oven and take it out of the oven and turn it out of the pan and then place it to the oven for extra 5min to help darken the crust.

After all of this, you have your perfectly baked and light crispy wheat bread all ready for consumption...

Your bread looks wonderful! I'm busy working on some sourdough bread and pizza bases. My sourdough culture needs strengthen up a bit more first, but quite excited to try the new baking journey.

Glad you found this recipe helpful and useful..
