Hello, today I come with something a little different, a recipe WITHOUT GLUTEN 😊

As time goes by, the gap narrows between the everyday cuisine that we all know and the alternative food or diet, the latter a little more difficult to see in conventional homes, since special diets generally carried out only by the affected person and not by the entire environment.

Now and luckily, little by little that has been changing and palates and society in general have been accepting and adopting different styles of cooking and have been perfecting them so that they are not frowned upon. Whether they are vegan recipes, gluten free or vegetarian food, it has become quite popular and that is why today we are going to give a different twist to a classic recipe, we will make some crispy gluten free onion rings 😊

The first thing is to process the rice, I am going to be doing it from scratch. This is due to two reasons, the first is that I want to try the new acquisition of the home, which is this grinding machine with which I plan to do many experiments of this type 😊

And the second reason, which could be of interest to many, is that this way we save a lot of money, since rice flour is quite expensive and it really isn't anything special. It is simply ground rice, so by grinding it at home and buying the cheapest rice on the market, we will save a lot, really.

Now, this process I have seen that they do it in blenders and I would not recommend it, because the blades are not made for that or at least not to do it daily.

After grinding the rice, we must sieve it and it will vary from the pressure that we have put on the machine, the amount that we have left at the end. Although nothing is lost, the large pieces can be ground again or used for another type of recipe that I will show you in a future post 😊

Once we have our homemade or purchased rice flour, we must crush an onion. To do this, we will simply place it in a blender with half a glass of water, approximately 😊

Then, we can strain it or not. In my case I do it because my mom doesn't like the texture of the onion, although I've already said that it's not necessary.

The next step is to make the dough. I had already done it before and more or less I had the amounts calculated in my head 😊

The first thing is to put the liquid in the microwave for about 2 minutes and then add the rice flour until you get a homogeneous mass. This is because rice flour tends to hydrate faster in hot water 😊

Once we have the dough ready, with a plasticine texture. We must make small donuts with our hands and we will deposit them on a plastic. So until we finish the dough 😊

To finish, we just have to fry the rings until they are crispy and golden. You don't have to worry too much about cooking, since the hot water will have already cooked the rice flour 😊

As simple as that, we will have extremely crispy onion rings and, as far as it goes, healthy. Now, instead of onion, we can add water and honey, milk and sugar or even green tea 😊

So yummy and delicious 😀
