How to Make Pineapple Sweet Potato Cake

Well, on this sunny Sunday, Ema and I will make a cake with pineapple as the main ingredient, which of you likes pineapple cake? besides pineapple, Ema and I also added sweet potatoes to make the cake taste more distinctive and delicious. So, for those of you lovers of sweet potato or pineapple, just look at the recipe below until it's finished. good luck hivers!

well, the ingredients you have to prepare to make pineapple sweet potato cakes are certainly very simple and you can buy all these ingredients at the nearest supermarket or market in your city. The first ingredients you have to prepare are pineapple, 1 kg of mashed sweet potato, sugar, salt, vanilla powder, coconut milk, white coconut, yellow food coloring, white gelatin and pandan leaves. after you have prepared all the ingredients, now let's start the first step of making pineapple sweet potato cake.

the first step, what you have to do first is prepare 1 pineapple, then peel, wash and cut the pineapple until it's finished. use pineapple with good quality so that the final result of this cake is perfect, starting from the taste and texture of the cake.

the second step, after you have peeled, cleaned and also cut the pineapple to completion, then all you have to do is grate all the pineapple that you have cut until there is no pineapple left like the photo above.

the third step, after you have grated all the pineapples to completion, then enter all 1 kg of sweet potato that you have previously mashed and stir until the sweet potato is well mixed with the pineapple.

the fourth step, after you have stirred the sweet potato and pineapple until well blended, the next thing you have to do is add 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar, half a teaspoon of salt, 1 pack of white gelatin and 1 sachet of vanilla powder. after that, stir again until the dough is well blended using a spoon only.

the fifth step, after the dough has been stirred until everything is well mixed, then all you have to do is put 1 pack of instant coconut milk and enough yellow food coloring. after that, stir the dough again until it is well mixed and the color of the dough changes to yellow.

the sixth step, after the dough has been stirred until the dough turns yellow, then prepare a round pan and spread cooking oil evenly throughout the pan. after that, coat the inside of the pan with banana leaves and apply more cooking oil on the banana leaves like the photo above.

the seventh step, after you have prepared the pan for the dough, then prepare the steamer and preheat it for 5 minutes. after the steamer is hot, then put the pan into the steamer and then pour the mixture into the pan slowly. then, steam the dough with a period of approximately 50 minutes over medium heat only.

the eighth step, while the dough is being steamed for 50 minutes, then all you have to do is prepare another steamer and heat it for 5 minutes. after the steamer is hot, enter a bowl containing enough white coconut and a piece of pandan leaf. Then, steam the white coconut for about 15 minutes so that the white coconut does not go stale.

the last step, after the white coconut has been steamed so that it doesn't get stale, the next thing you have to do is remove the cake from the pan and then smear the cake with steamed coconut white. repeat until all the pineapple sweet potato cakes have been coated with coconut white.

and finally, after all the sweet potato pineapple cakes have been smeared with coconut white, now you can serve this sweet potato pineapple cake to your family or friends. The texture of this pineapple sweet potato cake is more or less similar to the sentiling cake. Besides that, the taste of this pineapple sweet potato cake is also very tasty and delicious, we don't get bored eating this cake. So, what do you think? I had never seen a pineapple preparation like that, it looks delicious

This is my favourite traditional cake when i was child 😋

Hi Jodi and Ema, have never thought that pineapples can be used for such delicious dish. Usually I have stinging tongue after eating pineapple, maybe because of the acid in it but maybe due to all the preparing the acid is neutralized. I love the last picture, looks great!
