How are you all? I hope everybody is doing well and healthy living.
Today I will bring you a delicious recipe and everyone's favorite. This recipe is chicken adobo with pechay. Adobo here in the Philippines is a common dish and it is the easiest to cook. And this recipe is very well known and it is like a national dish. And in any restaurant here in the Philippines, adobo will not missing from their display or menu. There are many versions of this recipe, but no matter what it is, the recipe is still called adobo. That's how this recipe is known.
And today I want my adobo to be more delicious and nutritious so I added pechay. And the pechay is very fresh because I just picked it from our garden on the side of our house.
And also if you have time, try my recipe and don't hesitate, I guarantee that there will be nothing left on your plate.
And I want to share with you how I cook it. It is simple and very easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Chicken
Pechay
Green pepper / espada
Garlic
Onions
Soy sauce
Salt
Magic sarap
Cooking oil
Water
Preparation
Wash the chicken and keep it aside.
Peel and slice the garlic, onions and green pepper and keep it aside as well.
Wash and clean the pechay and also keep it aside.
Cooking procedure
As usual In a hot pan place a cooking oil saute the garlic and onions until it turns golden brown.
And add the chicken and immediately season it with soy sauce magic sarap and small amount of salt because the soy sauce is already salty. And also add small amount of water and mix it and let it simmer and until the chicken is tender.
And add the green pepper/espada and mix it. And also taste it and if the taste is good immediately add the pechay and cover it and wait for a while. And open it and mix and if the pechay is cooked or half cooked it can be served on the table.
Here's my cooked chicken adobo with pechay.
