These days, mom brought fresh Levurda that she had picked from the mountains.
Levourda, also called wild garlic or bear onion, is very useful and tasty. It is rich in a large amount of vitamins and trace elements. It is useful for the heart, for cleansing the body of toxins, and stimulates digestion. Externally, it can even be used for faster healing of wounds.
Since we had a large amount of Levurda, I decided to make pesto.
The products are:
- Levourda 100 gr.
- Salt
- Olive oil 150 ml.
- A handful of walnuts
Here's how I prepared it:
I washed the levurda well. Then I dried her.
I chopped it finely and put it in the blender along with the olive oil and salt. I ground to a pulp.
I ground the walnuts separately and added them to the mixture.
I spread the finished pesto on homemade sourdough bread.
Uniquely delicious!
